its easy to become a bridezilla... youve evnisioned this perfect day for years and years since you were a kid im sure and all the while you have had all the details meticulously organized in your folder and you so desperately want everything to work out perfectly. well the little hurdles and glitches arise like they always will because nothing is ever perfect and you just have to take a deep breath and realize that nothing ever works out like it should and the only really important thing is that you and your love are finally getting married. i see it time and time and time again. no one will notice the slight difference in shades of blue. ive seen brides blow up the day of their wedding over things like no boutonnieres for the groomsmen and other things that no one will ever notice but you. so just put those little things out of your mind and focus on whats important . the love you two share and the love and support of everyone there :)

I had a similar problem when I got "cranberry" printed ink. I thought that meant dark pink and it ended up being red. I was initially sad but then I just decided it didn't matter and got over it and saved a lot of stress! And honestly, I don't think a single person noticed or cared!

jean-marcus - the problem is actually that I didn't envision anything before my wedding, so I'm rushing to figure out what I like, and I'm pretty picky and usually can't rush on these things. But my home is all blues and reds and dark browns, so I figured I'd stick with that.

JANET1111 - Funny how your invitations AND your BM dresses ended up looking red. I LOVE the reds of the dresses, as I've mentoined before, even if they are only red in photos, ha. Oh well!

cheese_diva - I stole the invite idea from you b/c I loved yours from your photos :). Were yours greener blue in real life than in the photos? So Brittany already sent me what she calls "Tiffany Blue", but what I really think is "Caspian Blue", since Tiffany Blue doesn't actually exist. She did send off white vs. white samples for the actual printed layer and for the labels so I could try to decide on that. Were yours something different? I want my rsvps back by end of February, so I don't think I have much time to ask for more samples.

Belize is more of a blue/green (like Caspian). We chose Aruba which is more of a blue/aqua tone...

Our sample came incorrect because her original paper samples had the names swapped. I was a little concerned making a decision cuz I wasn't sure what was what after we got our sample and Brittany sent me over some samples just to make sure.

Our final paper choices:

Pocket- Aruba

Accent- Coco (dark brown)

Cane Paper

Accent- Aruba

Printed- Solar White

Some of our RSVP postcards did get a little shredded from the post office machines but all were readable.. besides many guests didn't return (grrr!) lol

I agree with all of the above. Just pick whichever one you think is closest and then let it go. You have many more decisions to make and things to worry about and I think Janet's advice was perfect!

I'm sure whatever you get will be beautiful and no one (even your designy friends) will question it - they'll be too busy having fun at your wedding!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
