I joined online today...I probably should go to meetings, but I am gonna try this and see what kind of results I get.

Today was my first full day and I didn't do to well....I need to go grocery shopping. I am switching from low carb to WW, so the foods I have need to be switched up a bit. I still did okay, I used one of my flex points though.

I hope this works!

I just started going back last week since gaining TEN POUNDS since my wedding! (Talk about letting yourself go!). Anyway I think you'll like it one you get the hang of it. They do say that people who attend meetings lose up to 3 times as much weight. There's definitely something to be said for having to go in a weigh in every week! My advice would be the check out a couple different meetings run by different people. Everyone has their own meeting styles and some are better (and more interesting) than others.

If you do it, it really does work. There's a girl at my meeting who's lost over 100 pounds! And she's young - like early 20s too!

I joined WW about a year ago and found that to start it worked best for me to do online and meetings. Once I started to see results it was much easier to stick with the online. Once you get used to not eating as much and tracking points I don't find it too hard. Plus you can still eat at popular restaurants. Check out DWLZ.com and the WW message boards for good tips. You can do it! I lost 25 pounds in 4 months!

I've been doing it for about 2 weeks now, but I did have a few bad days mixed in there. But I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning to see where I'm at.

I have the books from doing ww before, but I really think I should go to meetings to get myself to stick to it, but I'm going to give it a few more weeks.

Now if I could just motivate myself to get on the treadmill....

Well, I just paid $65 for 3 months online, I wonder if they can give me credit or something for the first month? I don't wanna pay another $40 this month for it.

I guess I should go to meetings...what all goes on there, besides weigh-ins?

Christa! Yay! I am having a hard time figuring out what foods I should be eating. I need some kind of list. My dad has a book with foods and point value. I should borrow it.

I am glad there are so many ladies on here doing it! That's good motivation! I have been rockin' at the gym, so this will be the icing on the cake.MMM, cake!

Hey Martha!

Do you have the book and the point slider thing?

You can eat anything, you just have to count the points with your slider. Or in the back of the book it lists the point values.

I try to eat a lot of low point items because it feels like you get to eat more, lol.

For instance, most fruits are 1 point, veggies are no points, the yogurt I buy is 1 point.

hmm what else, you can make popcorn, thats not too bad, I usually eat lean cuisine's for lunch and soup is usually not too many points.

okay, now I'm rambling.

as far as the meetings, they usually have a different topic each week and talk about how you should handle the situation. For instance around a holiday time, they would talk about ways to avoid going crazy with the food, give you tips for low point foods or things to do.

Everyone gets a chance to talk to if they want about obstacles they may have had that week or successes, its really not bad, pretty friendly for the most part. I'm trying to do this w/o the meetings but we'll see how I do the next few weeks.

Hey Jilly! My dad has that book (he gained weight on WW though!) so I need to get it from him...I am at their house now, so I need to remember to get it.

Today I bought WW All-time Favorites Recipes...it has like 200 recipes in it. Some of them I would never try because I am so picky but others I am so excited to try next week!

I ate Chick-Fil-A today...they have the best chicken sandwiches...awyway, I wasted 15 points on lunch alone. smile105.gif

I think I am going to go ahead and start meetings next week. I really need to be held accountable!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
