Anyone getting eyelash extension?!!

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering if any brides out here have had, or are planning on getting eyelash extension??  I love the look of a little extra eyelashes, but I'm afraid that a strip of glue on lashes will start to lift by the end of the day with all of the mexican heat and humidity...if you've had them done before, I would LOVE to see pictures!!

IVe heard a lot of ppl lately getting eyelash extensions. I am thinking of getting them done for my wedding as well. I dont want the fake glue on ones falling off in the ceremony!! The extensions stay on for a bout 3 weeks so it sounds pretty perfect!

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 90

I just like the idea of being able to go swimming and being in the sun for hours without getting mascara all over the place.... Found these pictures online, I think the middle ones are my favorite. I always love how big Kim K's eyes look, but I think those might be a bit too extreme for me to pull off..I'm not sure if  i'd get them on the bottom lashes either

I too also love kim K eyes. I dont wear mascara on bottom lashes. I think i would for myself, get the top ones. but not the bottom ones.

My friend is getting married in August. So im thinking of using her wedding as a trial for the extensions. and then if it looks good ILl get them for my wedding.

im doing a TTD session so dont really wanna wear make up or mascara since it will run. ;/

I wore fakers on a vacation to Jamaica and they fell off four days into the trip

Wow they lasted 4 days? That's great!! Usually I cant get mine to stay on more than one day....

If you just Google eyelash extensions in your town, places near you should pop up....I guess it depends on where you live. For instance, I live in Boston and you can get them at hair salons, medi spas, dermatology offices, and there are even boutiques that specifically apply eyelashes. I believe prices probably depend on where you live as well. Ive seen anywhere from $200-$300 here in the city, but there about $150 in the small town where my parents live.

Not sure if you're familiar with Groupon, but sometimes they offer deals on local salons that offer extensions as well.

I've never had them before. I've heard that people who get them done consistently do lose some eyelashes, but I'm not too sure if that's the case if you only have them done once. Think i'll look into that though!

Iâ€ve been getting eyelash extension since January of this year and I love them.  They were supposed to be a trial for the wedding day, but Iâ€m hooked and have been getting them refilled every 3 weeks ever since.  I will get a fresh set for the wedding though and probably a bit fuller/longer then my everyday length below.  The pic is my before and after.  My biggest point of advice is to pick someone with a portfolio of close up before and after pics and that comes recommended from someone you know and have seen the lashes on first hand.  This is a skill set that most donâ€t have or donâ€t have the patience to do correctly.  A full set takes my tech 1.5 to ensure that every lash is isolated and that they donâ€t get clumped together.  Let me know if you have any questions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
