Congrats Girl!

This is one of my options actually - I'm still deciding ha ha

What did you love about it?

How many people are attending your wedding?

What kind of wedding ceremony are you having?

We are looking into Barcelo Bavaro (his choice) and I'm still trying to pick 1 or 2 more to see pros and cons -

Sorry for the interrogation ha ha

Thanks girl and congrats to you too.

My three options where Paradisus Palma Real, Hard Rock Cafe and Majestic Elegance.

Paradisus Palma Real- the rates i got quoted for were a little to pricey (in my opinion) for my guests. Plus children will be attending my wedding and this resort is an adult resort.

Hard Rock Cafe - i wanted this resort because it has so many activities for my guests. BUT i wanted my fiances side of the family to get more of a Dominican feel. Im Dominican and his Guyanese.

And now we are left with Majestic Elegance. This resort became the "one" in so many ways. Its sister hotel Majestic Colonial is child friendly. All the reviews ive read about ME have been great. The communication between the wedding department and myself has been AMAZING. My WC is Sandra and she has been nothing but GREAT. Very informative.

My one of my uncles who lives in DR actually recommended this resort when he found out i got engaged. He said that i would not regret it.

My wedding is March 27th 2014

Symbolic ceremony at the gazebo @ 5pm

Cocktail hour and reception to follow

We have 120 people invited. Im estimating 60-70 will attend with 5 children attending.

Save the dates have gone out. And my invitations will go out in July. Im doing passports for invites.

No need to apologize for the questions. I had so many when i started planning my wedding. And i still do. hahaha

He's really into Barcelo Bavaro and is into the planning, Groomzilla if you must ha ha

I'm in it for the ride lol but I want to pick a great place. I received a good quote for Majestic Elegance so its not so bad.

We are prob inviting 200 and thinking about 75-100 will show. We might have kids too so we are looking for a kid friendly resort.

Did you go do a property inspection?

What sold you on Elegance?

What are your wedding colors?

What package did you choose?

I'm so scared about making a bad decision ha ha...than you again for your help and info!

Hi SoonMrsD

We have invited just about the same amount of people. We are expecting about 80 to attend including kids.

We have not done a property inspection and might not be able to do so before our wedding. My fiances schedule is so hectic at the moment :/

I had 5 resorts that i was interested in, between price quotes, resort lay out, reviews and pictures ME won. Also COMMUNICATION from the very beginning has been wonderful. MY WC is Sandra and she gets back to me asap (which i love). She is on point with everything and even gives me advice on what works and what wouldnt work.

We've decided to go with purple and green. I have 4 bridesmaid so im thinking of having 2 in purple and 2 in green (same dress style) . My fiance will be wearing khaki pants, white shirt, khaki vest, purple tie. his groomsmen will wear white shirts and khaki pants.

we decided on a symbolic ceremony. and depending how many guest we have the package if free. So that money will go towards something else for the wedding.

Centerpieces are my concern at the moment. there packages seem sooo expensive :(

I hope this has been helpful

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
