Clueless Bride 13' hard rock punta cana

heyy brides!!!!  i am getting married at the hard rock punta cana in aug 13'. I have always dreamed of a destination wedding and when we saw hard rock I FELL IN LOVE!!!! the only problem is im pretty clueless with what i need to do and expect. I wanna know about favors, table settings, menus, photos, flowers, everything down to my place cards. can anyone help me??

I'm getting married in April 2013 @ the hrh as well! I was totally over whelmed in the beginning too. This website saved my life and sanity! The first thing I did was pick a resort- which you alreaddy did so kudos cause that was a huge time cnsumming job that I totally stressed out over lol but we both chose wisely I have 52 guest coming so we needed a large resort and family friendly since I have a 3 year old son. Then I contacted my travel adjent and set up a meeting with her and got some prices in writing. Then I went online (zazzle.com) and got my save the dates done we choose two starfish holding hands lol I like re idea of the boarding passes but didn't have time or money to get them made. I sent them out with my wedding website on them and had ppl RSVP online. All of e deposits for the trip have been put down and then it was time to start planning. I loved the idea of leaving the resort for the reception. I liked the jellyfish restaurant but I loved e la bacaraz boat better so we went with that. We are getting to e resort on Monday and doing a welcome dinner that night and then the wedding on the thurs and then a farewell brunch on the Sunday. Once you contact a travel adjent and start booking rooms you will be contacted by the Miami office and discuss a few things but all of the planning with them is not done until a few months before the wedding. thank you for your advice. yea soo stressful picking the place. your wedding website thats how you had everyone put deposits down? did you put it on your save the dates?your going off the resort for your reception? If you dont mind me asking how much was your room rates?

We sent out our save the date wi the wedding website on it- everyone RSVP on there and all of our travel aren't info is on there as well. They put there deposits down via our travel adjent. We are paying 1598 and 1118 of that is for our flight from Toronto to punta Cana. That's for the basic room. How many people do u think will come to your wedding? After I think 11 or 12 rooms are booked you get a free 3 hour private party every day your there. So a welcome dinner, rehearsal night, wedding cocktail party and a farewell brunch we are doing. The actual reception for the wedding will be off site on the wedding oat la bacaraz

Jamie - may I ask why you went through a travel agent instead of going through the reservations at the Hard Rock?  Also, how did you get a wedding website and where do you go to get it?  Thanks!

It was just easier for us to get a TA- I didn't want Io have to worry about booking flights and resort separately and shuttles ect. We got one quote price from her for airfare hotel and all transportation. The amount we are paying for the hotel is WAY less then the amount we would have paid going directly to them. I looked into it, the only thing is we had to have minimum 5 people to book or we would be considered a group. We have 52 booked so that wasn't a problem lol. I scratched hi and low for a good "free" wedding website. We ended up choosing weddingwindow and made our free account. It was nice but I wanted to add songs and different pics so we paid a one time price of like 70 it is kennyandjamie.weddingwindow.com

Hi Ladies! Jamielynn...Check with your TA and with Hard Rock because according to the documents i have you have to have 25 rooms booked in order to qualify for the free private functions. My wedding is in 2014 so yours could be different but that is what they have in my documents I was given while i did my site visit and from my WC in Miami. The communication with this resort is the biggest problem i have been coming across so i only e mail my WC now so i have everything she tells me on record

I am also getting married at the HRH June2013 and i reserved my rooms for my guests through Destinationweddings.com they're really good and they're pretty much a travel agency who helps you get good rates locked in on room rates. But i think you can get 1 hr free for cocktail hour with having 15 rooms booked and or if 75nights booked you get unlimited private events ..i dont have my agreement on hand now but those are some of the deals you can get..

I am also a 2014 bride to be.  I received my contract and just need to send in my deposit.  I have also researched photographers and videographers.  Still need to pick sites for wedding, food, decorations.  I would love to see what you have found out and I will let you know what I have found out.  Just private message me and we can discuss.  Thanks alot!
