Yucatan Hacienda Wedding - help!

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow Mexico lovers!

My fiance and I havec been throwing around the idea of a rustic hacienda wedding.  We had originally planned on doing a wedding here in the states, (even finding a great location), but I can not stop thinking about the dream of a hacienda wedding.  After spending some time studying abroad in Merida Mexico, I fell in absolutely in love with the Yucatan Peninsula  We are looking for a simple, no frills, rustic wedding, set on the property of a hacienda.  Think rustic barn wedding meets secret garden, with a whole lot of Yucatan flavor thrown in!  We are currently looking for a wedding coordinator to help us make our vision a reality.  Though we have been inspired by a few weddings, one that sticks out is

I love the soft muted palette, use of succulents, and vintage feel of it!

We do not have a particular property in mind, but have been inspired by the beauty of the hacienda Uayamon, (gorgeous) as well as many others.

We need someone to help us coordinate our simple, vintage, rustic hacienda celebration!

Also, for brides who have  done the Mexico destination thing, is it even possible to do a destination wedding on the lower end of a wedding budget?  We want something super simple, but I am almost at a loss for where to begin!

Hi, My name is Kay and I am with LocoGringo.com I tweeted your post this morning I have many people in the Yucatan and Riviera Maya who follow me and asked them to help you.   I also asked Hacienda Xcanatun to follow up with you.  This hacienda is my all-time personal favorite and over the years I have visited many haciendas.   Hacienda Uayamon is very nice, it a bit of a haul from Merida for your guests though.

Brides have had rave reviews about their weddings at Hacienda Xcanatún, in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. Although they normally do "tailor-made" weddings, I know they have a good deal for a wedding that includes 2 night's stay in all 18 rooms, the ceremony, and the reception. They also have a Maya Wedding ceremony. Check it out!

Have you considered Hacienda Xcanatun, in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico?

William is an amazing photographer & his prices and customer service are impeccable. He is in the yucatan and will work with you. He told the story the of our day perfectly and even our friends and family that weren't there are able to feel like they were. We would hire William over and over.

We LOVE a Hacienda wedding, soooo romantic! Definitely a great alternative to a beach resort wedding, the haciendas in Yucatan and Campeche are just beautiful. This Yucatan wedding at Hacienda San Jose was super intimate and cozy and we love the vibe of this Campeche Hacienda Uayomon wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
