Turks 2013

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies,

Are there any 2013 turks brides on here?  I see quite a few from previous years.  Where are you getting married on the island?  What are your plans?

We are planning a June 2013 wedding date.  Was quite set on Beaches T& C but now not so sure.  Was already to book possibly just over thinking  things. We have children ourselves but now wondering if the resort will be overrun with children for our guests that do not have children.  Also the reviews on the photos are troublesome and the resort has a no outside vendors policy.  We are planning an AHR so we need to have great pics to show for friends and family who cannot make the wedding.

I'm a 2013 TCI bride!!

We're getting married on 4/20/13 at the West Bay Club.  We are planning everything with the planner at the WBC.  So far we have only booked a steel drummer for the ceremony and cocktail reception and Salon Maxime for hair and makeup.

I'm currently researching bands (Bowen Arrow or Corey Forbes) and a photographer (Eye Spice or Paradise Photography or bring one with us).

My future mother-in-law is looking into the rehearsal dinner as well (Coco Bistro, beach bbq @ Sibonne or beach bbq @ WBC).

Hey girls. How's the planning coming along. We are getting married on May 17, 2013 at Ocean Club West. We are really excited and have booked Eyespice as our photographer and are having a beach BBQ reception catered by Kissing Fish. It's nice to meet 2013 brides on here.

HI! I'm also a TCI bride for 2013! We're getting married on May 26th. Danie, we are a week apart! So glad there are others! We hired Diane at Island Harmony as our wedding planner and will be having our ceremony at the Sands and then our reception at Mango Reef's outdoor patio. That's about as far as we have gone with our wedding planning. We'll most likely bring our own photographer with us.

Looking forward to hearing more about your weddings plans!

Hey Kim! Thats sound great. I love hearing everyone's ideas. We are getting married at OCW on the beach. But I have set up a catamaran cruise for our guest. theres only 31 of us and this will happen 2 days before the wedding. Reherssal Dinner I am going to have at opus and have an open bar and band and then the reception catered on the beach. Originally I was going to do the reherssal dinner as a beach bbq but when I went on my site visit we were able to witness a reception held on the beach and it was beautiful and convenient for all guest. I actually was shocked because the bbq on the beach is more pricey than an actual reception. I have alot of plans made for guest like deep sea fishing excursions for them men and spa treatment for the women. I'm excited it will be a great vacation.

We were also stuck between Brilliant photography and Eyespice. They both show some beautiful pictures on the site. In the end, Eyespice was more within our budget as were able to book him for not only the wedding but the catamaran cruise. The more we plan the more exicted I get lol.

As you plan more keep me posted. I love meeting brides and I can't believe our weddings are just a week apart. That's so cool.

I was thinking of doing  a catamaran cruise for my guests as well.  Not sure of how many will actually attend.  I have seen many sessions from brilliant here on the site they seem to do beautiful work.  I wish I could use them.  I haven't heard of Eyespice did you near of them on the site or through your own research?

I heard of eye spice while on the island. I met with them and brilliant. They both do great work but different. For us it came down to pricing and hours. I was able to get more time for less money and his work is great plus were guaranteed him which is awesome. You can google him and see some of his work. I felt like I had and still have to determine what things are more important to me than others. I choose photography to be one of the lesser expenses because I would rather spend more money on events for guest and the reception.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
