I suggest you private reception if it's possible, if it isn't, I liked the mexican restaurant very much.

we stayed there in january and enjoyed the steak house and the dominican restaurant very much!!! They have an open air lobby bar thats alot of fun!!! the sports bar turns into a kareoke bar about 10 pm, and then the disco tech (night club) opens at midnight....all of these are all inclusive!!! so I wouldnt see much point in the private reception unless you just really want it. we met so many fun people that joined our already large group and we had a blast! tip them $20-50 when your group goes out together and your drinks will be served quicker than you can finish them!

It will depend on your budget and so on. We are getting married January 2015 and will be using the Ill Caprico (Italian in the Bavaro section of the complex). It is in-door with AC and has a maximum of 40 people. The cost is $1000 US.

I have also seen the Piscis location. It is a outside terrace, beautiful near a pool. It seat a max of $60 people and goes for $1500 I believe. I liked the idea, but the extra $500 just didn't make sense.

I did briefly see the Garden Grill Location as well. It was indoors with AC and also held $40 people for $1000. We picked the Il Capricio for its menu selections.

There is one more venue for sure that is outdoors but cost $3000. It's HUGE and is essentially a snack bar restaurant for Punta Cana during the day. It seat $120 people. AMAZING, right close to the beach but far too expensive for us. I cannot recall what they call it. You can get all this information if you contact the hotel's wedding coordinators.

Visually I though Ill Capricio and Piscis were the most beautiful in our prices budget. Garden Grill was just okay.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
