Majestic Colonial and/or Elegance in Punta Cana (DINNERS)

Recommended Posts

I'm actually glad I have converted from a Bahamas wedding to a Punta Cana one.. Seems like I came across a ton more of info and future brides!!..  But I hate having to read through hundreds of posts hoping someone will eventually bring up prices for certain things, or info on certain things I'm looking for..

So here are my questions about Dinners at ME and/or MC...

For those doing a Reception Dinners and/or Welcome Dinners.. How does the pricing work for per person dinners and drinks since it is an all inclusive resort? And where are the best locations? What are the Set-up fee's?

Do you have a set menu that you choose or do they choose one for you?  I have read somewhere that someone paid about $50-70 per person.. But then read somewhere else that someone opted for a "free dinner"  Of course I want to be as frugal as possible so that we can also have an AHR, but I want everything to be nice and something we will be proud of.

Any other info you have on Dinners at these resorts that you would like to share, including pictures. Please do so!! :o) Everything, as always, is greatly appreciated from myself and future brides.

Hi! I'll try to answer some of your questions as I'm currently planning a wedding at the Elegance for August 2013. There is a free dinner included in the package, but it's semi private. Meaning, they will close off an area of one of the restaurants for your guests, but there can be no dancing, music, etc. It's included for up to 60 people and anyone over 60 people will be charged at $10 per person. (Starting at guest number 61). There is a set menu which I have a link for also. If you'd like a private dinner you pay $55+16% per person. I have a few links sent by the Wedding Coordinator that have alot of info on the dinner/reception choices. Let me know if you'd like me to email them to you.

Ahhh, awesome, Thanks for sharing!!.. Semi-private is fine for us since we plan to have an AHR for all of our friends and family with music, dancing, etc.. Will you please send me those links?  My email is BritneyRasco@hotmail.com

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
