We stayed at the Moon Palace before and it was very nice. I thought it was my top choice, but then I went to the Dreams Cancun and fell in love! I wanted to be in the hotel zone and the Moon Palace was to far for us and the beach wasn't as nice as the other resorts in the hotel zone. But the resort itself was really nice....huge resort! The wedding packages look amazing at the moon. Good luck with choosing your location!!

Welcome to the forum! 

 

Moon Palace was my runner up wedding location (I got married at the Gran Bahia), but I thought Moon Palace was beautiful.  There are a ton of topics and threads on here that will help you out.

Moon Palace is a gorgeous and fun location and they have a great group of gals specialized in helping you put all the details together. Our only advise is to be a little patient as communication can be slow in the beginning. Have faith in the MP Wedding Team, the gals are usually very good at what they do and tend to pick up conversations a couple of months prior to your big day. 

 

 

Just plan enough to allow yourself to be stress free for your special day, but be flexible enough to let whatever happens, happen. 

 

Tip: Don't let anyone talk you out of having your ceremony start time be anything but 1.5 hours prior to sunset. This will give you great light for your ceremony, and even better sunset light for your beach portraits!

Hi and welcome to BDW!  As you can see from the photos Matt posted, Moon Palace is a gorgeous place for a wedding.  Here are some links and tips that might make your time here on BDW more enjoyable.
 
If you have not done so, you may want to:
 
  • complete your profile (upload a photo, add profile details, etc.)
  • find the forum for your wedding destination and create a subscription to threads/members/vendors that you are interested in

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
