Hello everyone!

I am just in process of starting to plan my wedding (YAY)

I have decided on a date December 1, 2013 we are thinking we will probably have around 30-40 guests....

Definitly want the beach wedding and the caribbean beach style....

I know its a long ways away but I thought its better early then late

I am still deciding on the location I know I want to have my wedding either in....

Cancun

Mayan Riviera

Playa del Carmen

If anyone could help me out with any advice onwhat resort to choose I would greatly appreciate it!!! there are just too many to choose from.

Thank you so much ladies :)

Congrats on your engagment and welcome.gifto the forum!!!

My advice would be to speak to a travel agent that could give you ideas based on the things you need/want in a resort and for a destination wedding!

I am newly engaged also and think that we have chosen October 2013. I also think that it is a long ways away but the more time I have to plan the less stress I feel about it, I am currently trying to figure out where to have our wedding it seems like the choices are unlimited!!!

Congrats to you!  It's an exciting and sometimes overwhelming feelings, especially finding the perfect resort!  Figure out what is important to you - do you want a huge resort or an intimate spot? an adults only resort? all suites? in the hotel zone or something a bit more relaxed?  Once you have a few ideas gathered speak to a travel agent who can direct you towards resorts that match your ideas (and budget).  From there you can start to explore wedding packages (and reviews on here)!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
