Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton/Grand Palladium Jamaica Brides 2012

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm in the beginning stages of wedding planning and the various forums on this site have been so helpful.  I saw a thread for 2011 GPLH brides but nothing for 2012 yet so I thought I would start one dedicated to the GPLH ladies of 2012.  Please post your experiences and/or questions!  Any brides who have had recent weddings, your tips/reviews are much appreciated!

I love this for 2012 Brides!!! My fiance and I will be getting married November 10th, 2012 and are so excited! We have our ceremony on the beach at 2:00 pm, champagne on the beach following the ceremony, pictures etc then our reception is at the Blue Lagoon Restaurant where we will have a private reception.

What about you ladies? Dates, plans, ideas?

Are you making programs for the wedding day or itinerary's for the entire trip including optional golf tournaments etc? Any tips!

Thanks for joining Meaghan!  Welcome.  I'm getting married December 2012 at GPLH.  I'm doing a beach ceremony at 4pm and am still deciding between Poseidon and Blue Lagoon for a private reception.  What made you decide on Blue Lagoon?  I'm going to do a wedding day program but I'm also leaving welcome bags in each guest's room with things to do in Jamaica and I might schedule a day trip, still deciding.  If you don't mind, have you gotten any room rates yet?

I would love to hear some of your wedding plans. I am starting to stress because I am worried about all the little details and making sure everything is perfect! I am going with the beach wedding site, and i am using true colors as my photographer, they have been wonderful! We are doing photo/video package then a seperate photoshoot the day after at half moon cay on horseback! anyone else getting married in may?

Hello Ladies!

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is hard to make reservations for the al-la-carte restaurants?  I mean, does anyone know if they have a tendancy to be full very quickly or do most guests usually get a chance to eat in the restaurants most of the trip??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
