What is your Photography Budget?!

Recommended Posts

Ladies....We are getting married in May 2013 and as most of you know we are too far in advance to put a deposit down for a venue. In any event I am working on things such as budget now. In respects to photographers what is a realistic budget? For those of you who have done your photgraphy research and homework. What are the packages starting at? We also want to do the TTD shoot so if you can ad some insight on those prices. I know each photographer varies but my goodnees there are soo many...photo souvenir, photo phil, Arrecife, HDC, etc.

My goodness as if there isnt enough for us to worry about LOL.

Insight please guys??!!

congrats on picking the dominican republic as your destination wedding locations! i am getting married there this april 2012 at the gran bahia principe punta cana. i looked into a LARGE number of photographers in the punta cana area before deciding on bringing my own photographer down with us.

i looked into HDC Photo, Carribean Emotions, Photo Souvenier, Julie Eskin, Jorge Allocco and Phil Steingard. the packages range from $650 up to $2690, all depending on what your looking for! they all also offer TTD sessions for extra cost, ranging from $200-$450 depending on the amount of time and photographer.

i made a spreadsheet (i know im neurotic) with all the photographers, the packages, what they include and the prices. let me know if you would like to see it and i can attach it on here or send it to you!

I sent the spreadsheet to all three of you girls that asked for it! Let me know if you get, or have any problems with it! Good luck with your photographer decision, it is certainly a tough one!

I barely know how to post on these forums LOLZ I just noticed your venue is Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana I just emailed them today for pricing although I am pretty much sure about Majestic colonial I would like to see what other places offer. How come you chose them over the others and how big is your guest list?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
