Cancun Palace Rebranded as Hard Rock!?!

Recommended Posts

Hey Ladies,

I was reading some posts on Trip Advisor about Cancun Palace. We are getting married there in February 2012. I saw a post that said Cancun Palace is going to be rebranded as a Hard Rock Hotel. Have any of you heard about this? I am very concerned! Please let me know if you have any details. Here is the post I was reading.

Are you still able to have your wedding there? I would think the name changing shouldn't affect anything? I just said this in another post... but I will say it again... its all about you two and being surrounded by family and friends on your special day! You could be anywhere and it will still be one of the best days of your life and a milestone to be celebrated!

Best of luck.

We are having are wedding in February. At this point we are just going to go ahead and have it at Cancun Palace or Hard Rock Cancun...whatever it is called at the time. We already have many people who have booked, so I don't know what esle to do.  I'm hoping the resort isn't half renovated to the new HRH and half of it still being older. I guess there is probably know way to find this info out for sure. I am just going to hope for the best, b/c I am tired of stressing about it!

What are you going to do about the rebranding? I am concerned about this as well. Our group does not include Hard Rock type of people and I just don't know what to do.

You have the right idea! We tried to battle it out with Palace on the principle that they should have directly notified those that booked their weddings, instead of us having to hear about it online. We have been assured time and again that the service and restaurants will remain the same and the only difference will be in the look of the lobby and guest rooms. Don't stress about it, I know your wedding will be beautiful! Can't wait to see how it turns out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
