NOW SAPPHIRE - help please

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I am debating booking Now Sapphire for our wedding, but I have been told that the beach/ocean is full of seaweed. The beach/ocean is important to us, so I would greatly appreciate any info regarding this please.

Thanks so much!

I booked Now Sapphire for my wedding in January.  I've never been there, but I'm not too concerned about the seaweed, based on reviews I've read.  One great resource for information on this resort is Olivia Rodriguez, the social media coordinator for the resort.  She is VERY responsive to questions via email and facebook.  You can ask her anything and she will have a helpful response.  Her email address is sales10.nosrc@nowresorts.com and you can search for Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun on Facebook.

Good luck with your decision!

I am asking for Jan 20 with the ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour and reception at the tequila terrace. I am leaning towards getting the Divine Package. It really will be based on how many really show up I guess. We will have at least 20 as they are just our family members, then we'll wait and see how many friends and family decided to join us.

How much of a response have you been getting from the on-site wedding coordinator?  Has she been good to deal with?  I am waiting for confirmation for a May 25th wedding date.  What time of day did you choose to get married....sunset?  How many people do you have attending? Has it been a problem getting your guests booked there?

Sorry for all of the questions... I am new to this blog and have a ton of things floating around in my head!!!

Thanks!

Hi HeatherViolet, sorry for taking so long to reply! To help answer your questions - 1) How much of a response have you been getting from the on-site wedding coordinator? The wedding coordinator has been amazing. His name is Ramon and he responds quickly and puts up with all of my questions and requests. I got confirmation on my wedding date within one day of having completed their required paperwork to request a wedding date. 2) What time of day did you choose to get married....sunset? We chose a 4pm beach ceremony to have it with the sun, then cocktail hour will be during sunset so we can get some great pictures on the beach at that time too. 3) How many people do you have attending? I think we have 45 confirmed right now 4) Has it been a problem getting your guests booked there? NO, it has been really easy but I put that solely on the shoulders of our wedding travel specialist from Uniglobe travel - Lynne Smith. She has done it all and even coordinates packages for our families all over North America. Don't hesitate to ask me anything else

Thank you so much for the reply....that helps me put my mind at ease! I am waiting for confermation for my wedding date. We hope to hear back from our travel agent soon. Has Ramone mentioned how much extra per person it is for dinner over the 25 guests? Where are you doing your cocktail party and reception? Both at Tequila Terrace? Have you figured out who your photographer is going to be yet? I'm sorry for the ba-jillion questions! Thanks for taking the time to reply!!!!

My fiance and I actually have a trip booked there this month. We will be there Oct 21st.  am going to asks lots of questions, I think I have 20 on my list already, including the charge for extra people as we are expecting 50-75ppl. I have been dealing with Anel Torres via email and will meet up with him during our vacation. His response times on emails is anywhere for 2-5 days.We have already put a deposit down for our wedding (October 12, 2012). We are getting married on the beach and the reception will be on the Tequila Terrace. We chose the Divine Package which comes with a photographer. I have looked at a couple outside photographers but due to budget restraints, I am putting my faith in the ones that they are providing. However, I did choose to do the Trash the Dress photo session. I have seen so many pictures and they are really amazing and one of a kind. I have decided to go with LaLuna (http://www.lalunaphotographers.com/).

I will definitely write up a full report document what I find out. If anyone has any other questions, let me know and I will ask.

Happy Planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
