Maggie Sottero Knock Offs?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I keep falling in love with Maggie Sottero dresses, specifically the Catarina, Leoni, Karena, Florencia and Ella.

Has anyone had a nice copy made of any of her dresses?
In general I notice these dresses all have a nice lace with decals everywhere and they all have some beadwork going on in the bodice with a lot of tulle underneath.

Who would be a good maker for these styles?
Below is a pic of one of my favorites.

i'm getting one of dresses for myself.

Are you living in united states or canada?

i check out the price for the states and its around 10-15000 for some nice ones.

I don't have any links for knock off's but i think you pay for what you get.

I have to go to the canadian stores to see the prices soo, if it's too high i'm most likely going to buy it in the states.

BUT GOOD LUCK!

I think your best best is to go to the knockoff dresses thread. There is a ton of information there and different people have used many different replica companies. You can read reviews, see pictures and figure out which you think would be best.

I have read through the whole knock-off thread as well and it's really a bit of a crapshoot in my opinion.  I got a knockoff made for Maggie Sottero Jovi and it is exactly like the picture and was really well made with good quality material.  You won't always end up with a cheap dress if you can't afford to pay thousands of dollars.

My one suggestion if you are thinking of a knock off:  if you are a very picky person and/or if you have really specific expectations about your dress, don't get a knock off - it will be too stressful for you and there is likely to be something that you don't like since it is not the exact dress that you like in the picture.  If not, give it a try, I know in my experience it was definitely worth it.

Hi MarlenaMami....please try jasminesbridalshop.com.  They did an AWESOME job with my dress.  The communication which is most important when ordering anything online was amazing.  Check out there website becauseI believe they have Maggie dresses.  Their site also shows you work they have completed and not just the designer photos.  I was/am a budget bride and I refused to spend $1,000's on a dress.  As I mentioned, the communication was great and they send you pictures in progress.  I searched online for about a month until I found them.  Other websites may be a little fancier, but hands down they have the BEST work.  Their site has a link on facebook so you can see some of their work.

Good Luck!  Let us know what you decide!

I used a seller on ebay - not sure of the name off hand but I can get it for you if you want.  I have also ordered my bridesmaid dresses from a different ebay seller but haven't received them yet so I'm not sure how they will turn out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
