We are struggling! We are staying at the RIU Palace so we cant decide to have it there or Sunset Mona Lisa where we got engaged. I am working directly with the lady at RIU. She has been great. In fact I have been annoying asking a million questions and she has been great. Do you have a location set?

Hi,

New to the forum.  We are getting married in Feb. of 2012 in Cabo.  I have NOTHING set in stone yet...we are 100% sure we are staying at the RIU Palace though :-)

My dad introduced me to this forum and I'm hoping to gain some insight - I don't really know where to begin.  We want to go with a wedding package and then get an all inclusive travel package.  Cheaper that way and we have a lot of people coming to join us on our special day! so this way it's cheaper for everyone else as well. I'm gussing with the wedding package I'm "given" a wedding planner so to speak to help with the details etc... I'm guessing I just call (LOl) I have no idea.

Looking forward to starting this :-)

Hi WedCabo33!

I haven't been to Cabo before, but I figured it would be a nice place to get married since other cities in Mexico are so accessible for Torontonians/Canadians... I didn't want it to be a place where I can pick up a last minute package and spend a week there randomly, but then again I may be thinking too exclusively. I also hear the weather is pretty consistent throughout the year, no crazy storms or unbearable heat (if you're not going in July/August I suppose).

My fiancé and I really liked Zoetry Casa Del Mar, but I think it might be on the pricier side beacuse it is more of a boutique hotel as opposed to a larger resort. It is affiliated by Dreams though, so that will probably be my second choice...

It's just so difficult trying to find the best time to go with everyone's scheduling and high/low seasons etc!

I'm also wondering how it differs in working with an on shore DW planner as opposed to one from the resort...not sure how to go about that either!

WELCOME!!!  I'm not a Cabo bride (Dominican Republic), but am getting married in 2012!  There is soooo much great info. on this website!  There's also another 2012 bride thread started if you search for it! :)  I LOVE Cabo there and was there last March....gorgeous.  I didn't stay at the RIU, but heard GREAT things about it from other guests!!  Good luck planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
