As Grand Cayman had been my runner up to my wedding destination (Turks & Caicos), I had checked out a few places. Then I was just there for vacation this past weekend and we ate at one of the places I had strongly considered for a reception, Luca. It's at the Caribbean Club, is on the beach and very classy. We had an excellent meal and great service, so I would consider that for a reception!

When are you taking your meetings at the Caribbean Club and Luca?  We are booked there (site unseen!) for November 4, 2011.  I've read a lot online and have been researching places for what feels like forever.  I'm thrilled with our choice, but would love to hear your first hand thoughts...

Thanks, Laura

I am getting married at the Grand Cayman Beach Suites on June 24th 2011.  Marina Flynn the wedding coordinator has been awesome to work with.  We have 30 people attending our wedding.  Beach wedding with cocktail hour at the terrace and then the reception at the pool terrace area.  Mainstream will be playing.  Steel Drum for the ceremony.  Celebrations doing the decorating and flowers.  Everything has been smooth thus far.  I will post pictures after.  PictureThis is our Photographer.

Grand Cay Bride...

I am thrilled you found this thread! GCBS is looking like the spot for us as we are having a small number of family traveling down with us and not sure we can fill the requirements for the Carribean Club.  I have been in touch with Marina a number of times and she seems delightful! We will be meeting with her during our little whirlwind trip as well!! Cant wait to hear how everything turns out for you!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
