Ocean Blue & Sand-Punta Cana

Recommended Posts

I'm not married yet, But the Ocean Blue/Sand resort is a the very top of our list. So far it seems like the most affordable, but still nice with lots of things to do. I also have read the least amount of negative reviews about it on trip advisor compared to other resorts. Also if you go on trip advisor or their facebook page (ocean blue/sand brides) (google it), you'll find tons of awesome pictures. I've also personally been in the lobby area, we were staying at the LTI resort next door, and it's georgeous. The place looks really neat. Hope this helps out some. I know I've been pulling my hair out over picking the right place. Good Luck!!

I just stayed at this resort, and the resort is pretty nice. I had the opportunity to witness 3 or 4 weddings during my stay there. Each looked to go on without problems. They have a nice little wedding center at the front of the resort...........and the photographer is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. I even asked for her information to see if she could shoot my wedding (that's at another resort).

The gazebo at this resort is hidden---behind buildings. You can't see the beach from the gazebo, but if total privacy is what you like---that's your best option.

I had NO complaints about this resort at all. Was just there Nov 16-23rd.

It does not seem to be a popular resort on BDW but i have had no problems so far with the wedding planner/resort info. as well it was a more affordable resort for guests. If anyone has any questions on packages/pricing let me know and i will send them to you...if i can figure out how lol!! the date is coming so fast starting to get really pumped!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
