My DIY OOT Bag - beach/hangover kit *pics*

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies,

Just finished my DIY beach and hangover kits for my OOT bags. Figured with such a carppy cool weekend might as well stay in and get a good start on there. So happy with how they turned out. I think they look WAY better then the pics, but it will give you an idea. I used alot of different scrapbooking ideas to get these completed and it took the WHOLE weekend but it was totally worth it.

For my hangover kit:

Listerine Strips

2 Advil pkgs

(i wanted to put in pepto /immodium - but couldnt find them in Canada)

For my beach kit:

Sunscreen

Hand Sanitizer

Body Butter

Band-aids

SPF chapstick

I used clear plastic bags ordered from "Stampin Up" for both the hangover and beach kits.

The beach kits: made tags from regular aqua cardstock, added white glossy paper, stamped with versamark, and brayed across the glossy stamped paper with the coca ink. Used Shell stamps with black ink and embossed them both and cut them out and pasted them on. I punched holes in the top and strung aqua organza ribbon through the holes and tied them into bows. Then I use blue staples to attach the tags to the bags.

The Hangover kits: made tags from the same aqua cardstock. Used an alphabet stamp and stamped black cardstock with white ink. Then circle punched out all the letters for "hang over" (15x - thank god I have a small wedding! lol). I then used a larger circle punch to punch out the sand colour cardstock to be a backing. Glue all of them together then applied on the aqua card stock. Used dolphin and gecko eyelets on the hangover kits instead of stamps to dress them up a bit due to the small space available.

Thats the kits for now. I still have to get the rest of the OOT bag done, when I do I will upload the final OOT bag!

Thank you for all your ideas ladies! I couldnt have done it without you....you gave me my inspiration to do these the way I did.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
