Iberostar Grand Rose Hall

Recommended Posts

I have seen the other thread for Iberostar Rose Hall Suites, but so far there is not a thread for the Grand brides. I may be the only one right now, but I would love to hear if anyone is considering this resort and/or has booked a wedding there! I got an email from Pilar today with all of the wedding packages and extra add ons for the Grand. I will attach it so you can take a look for yourselfs. After some major drama with changing resorts, my FI and I have booked ourselfs a mini-trip to go to the Grand April 16th-19th. We want to meet with Pilar and see everything first hand so their are no suprises. The other resort we were going to get married at ended up telling us one thing and then once they opened it became something totally different. We don't want that to happen again!! I look forward to hearing from fellow Grand brides!!! :)

Hi Sparkles,

I like what I have read about the Grand, but I am not entirely clear if my wedding will work there. I believe the Grand is adults only, and some of our guests have children. If they stayed in other resorts, would their kids be allowed on the property for the wedding?

Thanks,

Nelly

The children would not be allowed. I only have 4 kids traveling with their parents and the Beach resort does offer babysittiing, so I figure for the wedding they can take advantage of the babysitter for the kids. I really did not want kids at my wedding anyways. I have seen many a wedding runied by children crying or talking!!

Oh I would love to have my wedding there....but I am looking for a place I don't have to pay an extra $3000 for a basic wedding package...but I still check out their prices all the time and maybe if I could get a good deal on the rooms, I would do it lol....keep us updated:)

I know that the only other wedding that is booked for the Grand is for the day after mine. Of all dates, I wanted DEC 5th and it's the ONLY other wedding that is booked there!! So, now mine will be on DEC 4th which is a Friday...but oh well, when your at an island who cares what day it is!! If any brides are considering locations please check out the pictures. Also, the wedding planner, Pilar has been above and beyond helpful so far!! She gets back to my emails within 2-4 days and always answers all of my questions. My FI and I are heading to IGRH next week to see it for ourselfs & I can't wait!! Pilar has arranged a meeting with the florist and cake baker so I can tell them all of my wants/ideas in person!

Hi, Sparkles. I'm currently booked at Iberostar Rosehall Suites because I have 2 kids in my wedding. Will the Grand allow kids, justb for the wedding, if they are staying at the sister property next door? I emailed the wedding coordinator about this a while back, but it's one of the questions that she never responded to.

Who are you using as your photographer?

I just got home from our site visit to the Grand and meeting with the WC, Pilar. That same question came up for me and she said that no kids can come at all. You are not even able to have flower girls and ring bearers to be in the wedding. Thats fine with me because I don't want kids at my wedding, but for people who have children or nieces/nephews that are in the wedding they would want to stick with the Suites. I took a bunch of pictures of the Grand and the other properties so I will post the link when I am done uploading them later tonight. I did get a chance to see the wedding set up for the Suites and it looked BEAUTIFUL. They were in the process of setting up for it as we happend to be walking down the beach so I took a few pictures knowing all the brides on here would be dying to see! Check back later tonight for a link :)

I am using Sungold Photography, a husband and wife team. They have been so over the top helpful. The wife is from Texas and I think he is from Jamaica??....but they now live in Jamaica. She is just the most friendly person and has that great friendly Texas attitude. She seems so nice and I can't wait to work with them. I think they travel back and forth between Jamaica and Texas quite often, so maybe you could meet with them when they are in TX if they happen to be near you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
