Hey everyone!!! Hoping to get some input from other brides with an above average sized destination wedding. I'm looking to find the perfect venue in Cabo for around 100 people. Preferably have the ceremony and reception in a private grassed area at the resort but open to anything at this point. Let me know if you have any tips or just any resort you've been to that would accommodate this size of crowd! Thank you!

Hey Ladies, I’m planning my wedding for October 2020 and we have narrowed it down to the Now Jade or Royalton Riviera Maya. We are expecting about 50-60 people and want a private reception. We are coming from BC, Canada. Reading through the forums on here has been super helpful so far! Something that’s been a bit hard in planning is figuring out all the hidden fees that add up on top of your basic wedding package. Any tips or advice? Thanks!

hi friends! I'm looking for some feedback / ideas on our centerpiece mock-ups.... A few ideas/comments: I'm planning to frost the bottles, so it's a little softer we have 8 tables and my initial thought is to do a different flower arrangement for each table Plan to use the silk flowers to help keep costs down yes, the vase is a small patron/tequila bottle do the flowers/vase add to the centerpiece or do they distract? Are the flowers needed or does the bottle on it's own look ok? FI likes the first and last photo the best... Thoughts? feedback? love em? hate em?

Indian brides who married in Cancun Moon Palace Did you bring your own garlands for the wedding? Did you find some in Cancun? As well as all other necessities for prayers and the ceremony- where did you find everything from Cancun? Where did you find your preist? I want to have my Sangeet outdoors but they only allow outdoors until 10pm. So did you end your party then or move it Indoors because I have a lot of Indian families are used to staying up til 2am partying.

Trying to decide between a traditional cake, cupcakes, donuts, or some other type of fun dessert in place of cake. What are your thoughts on this? Would you miss the cake at a wedding if there were other desserts replacing it? Have any good ideas for a replacement? Thanks everyone ????

Hello! We recently got engaged and are looking at doing a destination wedding somewhere in jamaica (July 2018)!! I would be guessing that we expect about 20-25 people to attend. I've been on so many websites in the last few days and I have to say I am beyond confused. First off, a lot of places I see seem to be geared for a wedding with very few in attendance. Secondly, we would like a reception similar to what we would have in America. Lasting around 4-5 hours with traditional dances etc. We also want to keep the price reasonable for our guests to stay. We definitely are laid back with a lot of things but our top wish list would be: Great beach Resort that is geared for adults but has lots to do on the resort Options for a wedding reception like I listed above Cost effective (would like to keep the wedding, reception, and week long stay under 8k <----is that even possible? I will probably have a million more questions that I feel more comfortable listening to the advice of fellow brides that have gone through the process or currently In the process! Thank you so much for any help you can give ????????

I keep wondering if I am missing something. I may have found the ultimate list though and I thought I would share it. sharemywedding org I bought three different books and a binder to help me organize everything but I felt like I was going in circles. I think this is finally helping me. I do need help with a venue though. Does anybody now of a nice place in the New Orleans area that has something like a ballroom to rent for the ceremony and reception together? I am looking for elegant but not overly obnoxious in price. I figure reaching out for recommendations is the best place to start and they will probably have lists of vendors.

Hi everyone. Hope this post is landing in the right place. Here's my situation: After planning a November wedding for San Juan, Puerto Rico, my fiance and I found out the process for our church is going to prevent us from getting married on our set date. We had already put in deposit on a venue, and with less than six months until the date, we cannot cancel and get our deposit back. We're hoping to find someone to take over the date. Old San Juan is a beautiful, vibrant place with amazing ocean views and old world architecture. Because Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, there's no need to worry about passports and visas. It's convenient, beautiful, perfect for a destination wedding. We're still planning on getting married there at a later date. Here are the details: Venue: Casa Olimpica, Old San Juan Date: Saturday, November 11, 2017 (7 hours on this date) Deposit: $1700 Total cost: $3000 I'm attaching photos of Casa Olimpica so you can get a sense of the venue. If you're interested, you'll simply pay us the deposit amount and we'll transfer the reserved date into your name. The people at Casa Olimpica are accommodating and easy to work with. Hope to hear from you soon.

Would you have a SnapChat filter for your wedding guests during the ceremony? How about at the cocktail hour, and/or at the reception? The pricing is based on SnapChat's algorithm for: - date and number of hours the filter is live. - square footage of the venue in snapchat (google maps). Email: snapsocialfilter@@gmail.com if you were interested in finding out more info. Every filter gets approved by you before it is submitted for review Please contact 407-766-4670 if you have questions.

Hi everyone! I'm having trouble deciding on the best way to go in regards to wedding photography. We are getting married in May 2018 at The Royalton White Sands Resort in Montego Bay, soooo EXCITED! But, we have a very tight budget to work with... So far, my research has led me to believe that the most affordable option is to use the photographer that the resort has... however, im a huge fan of artsy/more candid type of photography vs the typical very posed type pictures...So, I dont want to regret my choice in the long run. Ah! Im having trouble finding the Resort's photographer's portfolio though... and really want to be able to check out previous photos/work before deciding for sure...anyone know where this can be found? Thanks!

Hi guys, My fiance and I are deciding on which resort we would like to have our destination wedding at. Our wedding is August 4, 2018. We plan on having a "weddingmoon." We are from the United States. We cannot decide between Sandals Negril Beach & Spa or Hideaway at Royalton Negril. We definitely want an Adults-Only resort. Hideaway Royalton Negril is not open yet. They were supposed to open in January of this year, but its been pushed back a few times to March 31, 2017. I am hoping to speak to a wedding representative in the first week of April to see if my date is available. Does anybody here know of someone having a wedding at a Royalton Resort? That would be my first choice. Anybody here have their wedding at Sandals Negril Beach & Spa? I have invited 40 people, but I doubt most will come. My fiance and I stayed at Luxury Grand Bahia Principe in Runaway Bay in September 2016. We loved it there, but want to try some place new! Any information is appreciated!

After several days of special cultural ceremonies and practices, an Indian destination wedding culminates with a festive Wedding Day and dinner reception. Much like the events leading up to this final day of celebration, the dinner reception is typically a colorful and elegant display of vibrant colors and details. Earlier this year, the Cancun/Riviera Maya based design and decor team at Zuñiga Productions created a stunning dinner reception design in one of the spacious ballrooms at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort -- one of the most popular resorts used to host large scale weddings because of their expansive grounds and the variety of event location offerings. Hi! I was hoping someone might have advice on pricing negotiations with vendors, Mexico specifically. I have read that many vendors will quote a little higher expecting you to barter. In particular, currently we are trying to book our Audio/visual equipment supplier and lighting. One company provided a fast quote with an invoice attached almost right away. A second vendor made us arrange to speak over the phone, went through their whole catalog and then came up with a price list that in some cases is over double the first vendor (eg. $600 for string lights vs. $1400). I did initially balk at these prices and honestly admitted they were higher than I was hoping to pay but the vendor insisted these were only individual prices and once we pick out a package of items we need (lights, DJ, dancefloor etc) the package price would be lower. Long story short, of course it seems obvious to book with the first vendor, whose prices seemed so transparent and competitive. But now am I expected to barter with them? We are on a tight budget but I am not opposed to paying the original quote, just not sure if in actuality I would be getting ripped off for not asking for a lower price. Help! I hate this kind of stuff

Hello everyone! I am desperately trying to find a venue to host my 100 guests for a casual welcome dinner/reception. We are looking to stay under 5k. We would like something different than beachfront because our wedding reception will be beach front. We are thinking a casual taco place, a place we can rent and get catered tacos/buffet, or some passed hors d'doeuvres on a rooftop or somewhere unique. Please let me know if you have any suggestions, thank you!!! - PDC bride

One of the perks of a destination wedding is the opportunity to really use your unique destination environment as part of the overall decor/setting for your wedding. In other words, showcase that gorgeous beach you're getting married on, or the extraordinary cliffside view where you'll be sharing I Do's. With a destination wedding, you don't need a whole lot of decor to embellish your already beautiful atmosphere. BUT, if you're one of those brides who wants to not only showcase the environment but also bring other decorative elements into your wedding day -- by all means, DO IT! An exciting trend for both weddings and vow renewals these days is incorporating luxurious decor elements with an outdoor setting. Here are a few ways you can bring a touch of chic luxury into your outdoor celebration: 1. Hang a chandelier: bring a little sparkle to your ceremony or reception by hanging a beautiful chandelier up above. It not only will bring some shine to your overall decor but also serves as the perfect focal point to your celebration. 2. Go big on linens and chair covers: Adding gorgeous linens to your table tops or luxurious coverings to your ceremony and reception chairs can make a huge impact on your decor. These are key ways to infuse your wedding colors into your decor but also very practical decor elements. You can also add fabric to your wedding arch or even on the walls to your reception. Go big on fabric to create a glamorous vibe. 3. Use mirrors or reflective pieces: Mirrors and reflective decor not only creates depth, it also can make spaces appear larger and more spacious. Embellished mirrors are great to use for weddings signs and also in table centerpieces. 4. Use decorative pieces throughout as accents and don't hesitate to use diamonds and pearls: Candlesticks, pillows and vases are just a few ways you can make your outdoor space feel more "indoors." Pick unique pieces that you'd typically find in an indoor space and don't think twice about bringing it outside. Also don't be afraid to use pearls and sparkles to accent your decor and other reception elements like napkins, centerpieces and tablescapes. 5. Have an outdoor lounge area: It's not only a great place for your guests to relax during cocktail hour, it's also a space that will give your celebration a cozy feel. Again infuse elaborate fabrics to create a chic lounge area accented by comfy loungers and couches, and don't forget the pillows! Karisma Hotel & Resorts -- which offers some of the most popular destination locations for brides and grooms in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica -- gives couples the choice of several different decor themes in their Memorable Moments Signature Wedding Collections. These decor packages incorporate a plethora of incredible decor tips, including their "Pure Glamour Signature Wedding Package" -- which is the perfect way to give your celebration a touch of luxury by bringing old Hollywood glitz to an elegant tropical locale. Other popular design themes from Karisma include: Vintage Elegance, Coastal Bliss, Colonial Charm. Written by Promedsa -- a top fireworks and special effects company in Cancun/Riviera Maya. You’ve all heard of those stories about, well…. slightly dull weddings, so we have written this article to ensure these words are nowhere near associated with your special day. Instead we want your wedding guests to have a great time celebrating your Big Day and we believe Promedsa Weddings can help you with this ... Firework Display (This can be created to the rhythm of your special song) A firework display is our absolute top pick when it comes too illuminating your day. What better way than a firework display? We can work with you to create either a simple and inexpensive show or an elaborate and synchronized show. Do you have a song that is special to you and your sweetheart? If so, tell us and we will build your firework show around this tune. Fountains Fountains are very popular in Cancun-Riviera Maya weddings. They may not be as elaborate as a firework display but they are very pretty and make for great photo moments! It is completely up to you how you would like the fountains set up and when you would like them fired. We suggest doing this at either your first kiss, or first dance but really the options are limitless. Pyro Letters We’ve all seen the perfect proposals take place on the romcom films and wished nothing more than it to happen to us. Well now it can! Promedsa specializes in creating unique and customized Pyro letters for the couples they work with. Be it ‘Will You Marry Me?’ or even your initials, we can make whatever your heart desires and set this alight when the sun goes down to reveal your message. Sparklers Who doesn’t love sparklers? We stock a wide range of sparklers for the couples to choose from (we even have hearts and letters!) Sparklers not only make for great wedding favors for your guests but also are the perfect picture opportunity. Just remember to always tell your wedding photographer if you would like some sparkler pictures or sparklers send off so they can prepare their equipment for this sort of shot. Last But Certainly Not Least – The Party Packages Here at Promedsa Weddings, we love to encourage a party! In order to do so, we have selected a number of different effects to help boost a party and add extra atmosphere to your event. You may opt for fire balls (which look great either side of the DJ) or you may decide on silver or golden confetti (we have hundred of colors and styles) or even CO2 jets to feel in a lively nightclub, we have everything you need to spice up the party! f you have any questions when it comes to having fireworks or special effects at your wedding, please do not hesitate to contact our team.
