Pros: Onsite Wedding Team, Pools, Food
Cons: Miami Wedding Team, Slow Service, Beach

Food was good, not gourmet but good. You must try the taco bar in the Mexican restaurant for lunch, so good! Room service was sometimes slow but we ordered it most nights very late after we had been out. Shrimp quesadillas were my favorite!  The BBQ on the beach was pretty good as well for lunch.

We were given a room in the adult’s only section for the first two nights, not sure why people would pay more for that section because the rooms are much smaller. The elevator in our building was not working and we were on the highest floor.

The first room we were given... we walked up to the 4th floor, walked in and there were two people in bed together! Very embarrassing, they gave us someone else room. I was not happy... back down the stairs to the lobby... got another room.. Walked back up the 4 stories to our new room. My Aunt and Uncle were given a room, they walked in... Entire floor was flooded! We were upgraded two nights later to the honeymoon suite which was great - the wrap around deck was beautiful. We were in room 3420.

I love that this is not a wrist band resort, much classier. You can grab towels whenever you need them. A few mornings there were no towels to be found, I would have to wait and come back an hour or so later.

Clean! Three pool bars which was awesome. You must ask for a better type of alcohol or they will give you rail.

I would advise NOT to get married on the beach. We did not even sit on the beach once. A TON of seaweed which would smell at certain points of the day. They attempted to clear it but the tracker was small. Not their fault, but it was out of control.

Laura and Ingrid from the wedding department were amazing. We had a two hour meeting with them and they went over EVERY details which was all executed perfectly. My only option as a backup was inside one of the halls which I was not happy about, but we had no rain so everything was fine. It was HOT though. We all were sweating a lot during the reception but no one complained and we all jumped into the pool at the end of the night. I can’t wait to get those photos back! The only couple things that happened though were the lobster we ordered did not come out, I had to complain and then 20 minutes it arrived (I think they forgot). We received some cards and 1 gift bag, the gift bag was stolen at the end of the night. I later found out the gift was jewelry, so I was very disappointed. I saw it sitting there one minute, gone the next. DJ All Music was great, played our requested songs as well as some other great one we did not think of! Everyone was dancing most of the night! We also choose the BBQ Deluxe menu and people raved about it. I was nervous about a buffet but I was worried the sit down would take too long (service is slow at the resort). So it wound up working out great!

Spa folks were AMAZING!!! They banged out our hair (8 girls in total) within two hours. Pros! I was very impressed by the quality. I used the salon and the bridal suite. We also had a 2 for 1 massage which was out of this world. Best massage I’ve ever had. If you go early they will put you into the whirl pool/sauna/shower to loosen your muscles. Take advantage and arrive 45 minute early.

Hi there- We have booked to get married at Azul next year. I have booked the location Plaza Zavas for our dinner reception with BBQ. Did you have to use many lights? I am concerned about lighting after it gets dark. Thanks so much!

Hello ladies!

Beautiful Wedding Pics! Looks like a lot of fun! I just booked my for Sept 2016. I'm afraid of seaweed and torn between beach ceremony or sky terrace. I'd like the after party at night by the pool. Did you have to get your own dj or was that included
