Pros: Everything
Cons: A little far from the airport
I never write reviews while I am at the resort but this resort deserves it.  Being in the travel industry, I have stayed at many of the nicest all inclusive resorts.  I wasn't sure what to expect with this one as it is a newer brand and rates are extremely competitive.  This resort blew all expectations out of the water.  Even though this resort went thru a major renovation, you might think this resort was a new build.  Everything looks brand new and the resort has a very modern and clean feel.  Maybe even a bit of a South Beach feel.  Diamond Club is definitely worth the money as you are immediately brought to the Diamond Club lounge for check in.

Diamond Club rooms are on the 7th floor so you have a view of everything.  You have butler service as well to help you unpack or make reservations.  Rooms are modern and come with a King or 2 Doubles and a futon.  Bathrooms are small but the rain showers are great.  Toiletries include shampoo, conditioner, soap, bath gel.  Towels are still very new which is one of the great things about a new resort.  Wi-fi is complimentary and works great in the rooms and in the public areas.

Pool area is pretty calm as the kids waterpark area is away from the main pool (love it!).  We had no trouble finding chairs midday.  The beach area is great and they have the cutest little manmade island that you can walk over too.  My favorite part of the pool/beach area is the shots guy.  He is a frickin HOOT!  When we were wading in the water, we watched him run full speed into the ocean deadset on getting this group of elderly people to take a shot.  He of course fell about 2 feet into the water which is always funny no matter how many times you've seen it.  Later he ran full speed and leaped over the wall to the adults pool holding the bottles of shots.  At that moment, I became a groupie.

Food at this property was amazing!  I have stayed at many and I was very surprised at how good it was.  Italian was delicious, they make their noodles in house.  Calamari had perfect crispiness and I would definitely have paid for it.  Don't leave without getting the affogato for dessert.  We had the steakhouse the next night which was also fabulous.  And to our delight, it was seafood night at the buffet featuring grilled lobster!  It is very rare for a resort to offer lobster w/o making you pay extra.  Not only that, it was grilled to perfection and the garlic butter was the icing on the cake.  They allowed us to get lobster and bring it over to the steakhouse.  Nothing like a little surf and turf to really make your night.  Oh, can't forget about the best macaroons I have ever had at the cafe.  I managed to walk by everyday even though it was no where on the way to anything.

Can't think of anything to complain about at this resort.  Not only do you get what you pay for, you get so much more!
