My husband and I used Derek and Lorena for our December 3, 2014 wedding at the Now Sapphire in Riviera Maya, Mexico. I cannot say enough good things about these two. They were extremely easy to work with from the very beginning. We exchanged emails and had a Skype chat before the big day. They arrived on time (even though I wasn't) and got right to work. Lorena shot the girls getting ready and Derek the boys. We met for a first look shoot. They captured every emotion and important moment of our day from getting ready through the reception. I believe pictures are one of the most important parts of a wedding day (other than the marriage of course) and wanted to make sure we captured every moment. Lorena helped me with the timeline of the day to make sure nothing would be rushed. The timeline was perfect, including a sunset bride and groom session suggested by Lorena. It was so intimate and a great way to spend a few moments alone enjoying our day.

We had a small wedding with 25 people and Derek and Lorena took the time to make sure we had a picture with everyone in attendance. They also set up a camera during the cocktail hour so each couple could have a few of their own photos. Everyone at the wedding raved about Derek and Lorena. They kept telling us we couldn't have picked better photographers. They fit in like we had known them for years. They never felt like intruders at our wedding but a part of our group.

I am pretty laid back and didn't have many must have photos. Derek and Lorena lead the day and we have amazing pictures that I haven't seen from any other weddings. At the end of the night they delivered us 2 flash drives and met us on the beach a few days later to deliver the last flash drive. This was perfect for me as I got to meet their dog too :) We didn't go through our photos until we arrived back at home and to our surprise there were even more pictures waiting for us on Dropbox that they found on another memory card. We took about a month to sort through the over 2000 photos and pick our favorites to be edited. It took Derek and Lorena about a month to get these favorites back to us. Very reasonable turnaround time for me. Even though they edited our favorites, there were very, very, few of the over 2000 photos that I would even consider needed to be edited. Their unedited pictures speak volumes about their quality of work.

I would recommend Derek & Lorena to anyone and would use them again and again.
