I can't rave enough about Sarani and her team. Our photographs are nothing short than amazing!! Everyone I show our photographs to says they've never seen wedding photos as beautiful as ours. We opted for both photography and videography from Sarani and her team, and while it represented a large portion of our budget (which in actual $$ is about on par with friends who got married in the states), it was worth every penny and more.

Sarani and her team arrived on time, and even a little bit early, to shoot my husband, myself, and our wedding party getting ready. We got some very touching photographs with the most important people in our lives during that hour. The photographs of our ceremony are beautiful and captured some of the smallest but important moments of the event.

After the ceremony, my husband and I went along with their team for our private photos, which turned out amazing. The day was overcast (usual for Riviera Maya), but somehow the photos turned out beautiful and vibrant anyhow - the colors in the pictures are alive and passionate, the black and white photos look classic and elegant, and we have some candid shots of us that captured some of the most tender and real aspects of our relationship. Just simply amazing.

And then there was our wedding mini-clip video. This was an edited mini-video (about 4 mins long) created from video footage of the wedding, mixed with some music, and made for sharing through social media and e-mail. The video filming was extra money, but I can't tell you how worth it it was. It makes everyone cry! I'm so glad we'll have this forever.

Shots of our wedding reception turned out great and we had the sense that Sarani and her team enjoyed taking the pictures of it just as much as we enjoyed the party. They got all the great moments.

Finally, we opted for Sarani to design and print a wedding album for us. While we didn't budget for this for our actual wedding event, and it is a little expensive, make sure you get Sarani to make your wedding album. I've never seen anything like it. It is a printed album (kind of like a photo book you can order from Shutterfly) but the quality of the album's construction is so high. There is a vinyl binding, the pages are thick and lay flat, the colors print gorgeously, and our photos are printed with an incredible pearlescent effect so that the pictures actually shimmer! It looks clean and amazing.

One last thing I want to mention. My husband and I were very nervous about selecting our photographer because we were concerned about ours being a gay wedding and not being sure if the vendors at our wedding would as comfortable or deliver as good service to us. We spoke about this early with Sarani and she was incredibly open, supportive, and encouraging of us. She was very responsive to our questions, passionate about her time with us, and I really feel like we made a friend in the process. I can't say enough good things about her -- she really helped an already amazing day of our lives that much more special.

So, seriously, pick Sarani - you'll be so glad that you did.
