Best Decision I've ever made! Besides a few hiccups, the overall experience was great! We were married at the Sun Palace 02/20/10. We had 70 guest fly in for the wedding so we decided to stay at the Moon Palace (bigger for our rowdier group) and bus everyone over to the Sun Palace for the ceremony and reception. It was awesome! The beach at the Sun Palace is WAY better than the Moon Palace. We had our reception on the spa terrace and it was a perfect beautiful night! I used an outside vendor (reccomended by my wedding coodinator) for the reception decor and tables I pretty much sent them pictures of what I wanted on the tables. The food at the Sun Palace was phenominal. My husband and I also switched to the Sun Palace for our honeymoon after all of our guests left and it was great. The rooms are goreous and so it the view! Feel free to contact me for advice...Be sure to stay VERY organzined because the wedding planners there are NOT if it wasn't for my MOH somethings on the wedding day would have been totally screwed up. BUT overall it was AMAZING!ReceptionPrograms500500wedding 087.jpgwedding 109.jpgwedding 108.jpgwedding 125.jpg

Wow the place and YOU look gorgeous! Thank you for the photos! Was it easy to get married in a different resort than you were staying at even though they were both palace resorts?

Thank you! shan0487 - It was actually a nice change of scenery for the guests. We bussed everyone over so it was pretty simple. The only challenge was that the MP wedding staff was NOT helpful at all with any questions I had during our acutal stay the week before the wedding. I had to email Paola over at the Sun.

Hey there! I'm getting married at Sun Place Resort on 01/15/12. My wedding coordinator is Cintya Mayelli Ortiz Martinez. She isn't very easy to get ahold of. She hasn't given me her number bc I don't think she has a number I can call from the US. So we have been emailing. I know you said to be very organized which I usually am but what adivce can you give? I've already discussed with her how I want the setup to be, my bouquet and the cake. We aren't having a big reception. We're only taking our moms. And my step-dad is going to marry us. So we will probably have a small dinner setup at one of the restaurants. We haven't discussed that much so I'm hoping they do a good job with it. How was your wedding setup on the beach? Was there a lot of people in the background on the beach or any of them caught in your photos? Also, did you use the resort photographer? I'm having a really hard time deciding if I should hire an outside photographer. The price at the resort seems pricey for what you get. They are saying it will be about $1500 for only 150 photos. I'm concerned bc I love pictures and you can't redo your wedding. Any suggestions? . . .. vxvx.
