Pros: Creative, professional, good communication, vintage Super8 film is lovely, love having digital photos on file, helped us work out detailed timeline
Cons: Wish we had booked more hours!

We were married in January 2010 in downtown Playa del Carmen (at La Capilla on 5th Ave). Hiring PlayaWeddings to do our photography and videography was a great decision. Planning a destination wedding in Playa from Minnesota was difficult at times, like communicating with vendors and ironing out all the details from afar. But Paul and Rachel were easy to communicate with, always responding quickly and in depth about concerns and questions we had. They made us feel that our day was important to them.

During the week of the wedding, they spent a couple of hours with us one evening to go over the detailed timeline for our wedding day. They provided insightful suggestions for things to tweak in the timeline or areas to highlight and worked well with our wedding coordinator, Leanne Marie Weddings. These insights made our wedding day fun and relaxed and my husband and I were able to focus on enjoying our wedding day.

I really enjoyed the mix of Rachel’s photography and Paul’s videography in our wedding DVD. We elected to use their new Super8 film footage option and were so delighted with the result! It added romance and a vintage feel to our video. I also was very pleased with Rachel’s style of capturing a majority of candid shots, which gives our photos a less posed look while still looking fantastic.

We also really enjoyed having Paul and Rachel and their assistants party with us on our wedding day. Although they are a very professional crew, they also felt more like friends by the end of it all. “All you need is love!”
