Pros: Beach is amazing, staff is awesome, food was delish
Cons: Communication is sometimes lacking

We just had our wedding at PPC on January 19th, 2013 and it was amazing.  I'll keep it short because I know if you're looking, it is overwhelming.  We chose this resort because as far as wedding packages go, we felt you got the most for your money here.  I wanted a beach wedding with a private reception so I chose the chill out chic package.  After adding flowers, some extra lighting, a DJ for 4 hours(he stayed for 5 :) ), photos/videographer and 20 extra people on top of the 24 included, it worked out to be about 8,000 which compared to what we would've spent staying home, was an INCREDIBLE value.  My bestie spent $4K on her open bar ALONE. We got married legally at the courthouse before we came which made it easier but paid for a pastor to give us a Christian blessing which in our eyes, were the real marriage vows.

The girls there (Bianca/Jennifer/Miguelina) work with you the entire way and when you get onsite there are absolutely no questions about how the wedding will go.  The only reason I say communication is sometimes lacking is because I would send an email and sometimes wait 3-4 days for an answer but that is because they have SO many weddings and in hindsight, I was just being an antsy bride. The beach is AMAZING and the weather was perfect(80 and partly sunny).  There were gawkers who like to see a wedding but I thought that added a certain level of excitement in that people wanted to stop and watch ME..the beautiful bride.  Plus they have 2-3 staff members there working security so they don't get too close. The hair/makeup/cake are all also included in that package which they did an amazing job on all three.  And here's a tip--rent the bridal suite for $250..it's worth it to have your girls around with the champagne and canapes.

I used Arricefe for my photographs and videography and they were AMAZING.  Rodrigo took some awesome pictures and even did some trick pictures none of my guests had even seen before!

They gave us a free upgrade to Royal Service which was awesome but ALL our guests were treated well. I would recommend getting married here to anyone..in a HEARTBEAT.  My guests raved that no one will ever top our wedding and obviously, I tend to agree. :)

Feel free to email me with more specific questions.

Hi Sarah, congratulations!

Was the beachfront ceremony windy/were there patrons able to walk around the beachfront while your wedding was taking place? Also, do you mind if I ask roughly what your guests paid to stay/fly to PPC?

Thanks!

Hi Sarah,

Congratulations!!!

I do have a question about the photography. Was Arricefe the vendor a PPC at the time you got married or did you hire someone outside of the hotel? They have a vendor now called Tropical One Studio.

Thank You

Aura
