Pros: authenticity of photos, beautiful, creative, photo journalist style, wonderful people to work with, true artists
Cons: some may say a bit expensive, but for what you are getting it is priceless!!! If you are going to spend $ make it on the photos!

Customer Service A+

First of all, the customer service you will receive from Del Sol is absolutely wonderful! Planning even a small destination wedding can be very stressful. We planned a small wedding at Le Blanc Spa Resort in Cancun Mexico and the only thing that I wasn't nervous about were the pictures. The office coordinator (Melissa) at Del Sol is wonderful with communication. I am a very type A personality so I had a million questions when I was planning my vacation/wedding not only about the photos, but random other aspects about the trip such as great tour guides and sights to see while I was there. Needless to say I probably e-mailed Melissa at the office close to 75 different e-mails and she responded within 24 hours (usually less then 12 hours) to each stupid e-mail I sent, even if it was about something totally ridiculous. Most of the other photographers that I inquired about in Mexico didn't even bother responding after my first initial e-mail.

The Photos!! A++++

Gorgeous! Wonderful! Breathtaking! What more can I say?!?!?!?! I was so pleased with my photos and have received endless compliments. At first my husband's jaw dropped when I told him what we were going to be spending, but after he saw the first sneak peeks of out photos he agreed that it was totally worth it! I did a combo pack of 6 hours of wedding coverage and a whole day of trash the dress photos two days after the wedding. Jonathan was the head photographer with Melissa assisting for my wedding photos and Deborah with the help of Jonathan and a little from Sol did my trash the dress photos! I highly recommend trash the dress photos!! I love them more then my actual wedding photos! If you want more of a photojournalist, real life, photo collection from your special day then look no further DEL SOL is your best option!! You will not be disappointed! I have attached some photos below!! ENJOY!! :)

These pictures are amazing! I have been in contact with Del Sol as well. My fiance and I are on a strict budget and pricing is the determining factor for whether we have a destination wedding or do it in our home town. I haven't been able to receive information regarding pricing from this photographer, so if you don't mind me asking could you please share information regarding pricing and packaging? (You don't have to provide what you paid, just some of the prices and packages you saw when picking yours) :) Thanks!

Hmmm....that's weird usually they will send you an e-mail with packages that best suit what you are looking for if you ask them. When I booked Del Sol (last July) they were running a package deal if you signed up for a wedding session and trash the dress session. Both sessions for associates were $2,750 a piece, but with the discount of booking both they became $2,406. Like I said, a special, so who knows what there prices are now. They package the wedding by hours, but the TTD is just most of the day whatever they can get it. I booked a 5 hour session, but when I got to Mexico my time frame changed and at the last minute I added Jonathan and Melissa for an extra hour ($550). So my grand total was $2,406 + $2,406 + $550 = $5,362. Whatever your grand total is, you will have to pay half (via pay pal or money transfer) of that at booking to hold your reservation then the other half in cash on the day of your event. So just a heads up for when you book. They don't book less then 5 hour sessions. I had the smallest wedding ever (just our parents) and still booked 6 hours which was awesome!

LOL! Cut me off because my comment was too long! - Although they don't promise a certain # of photos, I have over 400 from the 6 hour session alone, not including my trash the dress photos. If you want Matt or Sol (the owner's) to do your photos they are much more expensive, but fabulous to say the least. For example, an associate may be $2,750 for a 5 hour session where Matt or Sol may be more like $4,750. There is not a photographer at Del Sol that isn't totally awesome, so I would book who works best in your budget. I really enjoyed Deborah who did my trash the dress photos. I don't regret for a second spending so much money on my photos. They are the only tangible item you will have from your wedding besides your dress, which, lets face it, you are never going to wear again and no one will want to wear after you. My fiance's jaw dropped when I informed him on how much the photos were going to be and that they are ranked in the top 10 photographers in the WORLD let alone Mexico. We were both students at the time with not a dime to our name....trying to plan a close to $16,000 destination wedding. (We got very little funding from our parents). But I had 3 odd jobs in addition to school and he had 2 and we worked our *sses off all summer to have our dream wedding (on a waitress salery ha! ha!) We got engaged March 2012, started planning the wedding in May 2012 and got married October 2012. So if you want it, go get it girl! :) If budget is a big deal try to find a cheaper resort, doesn't matter if you get married in a paper sack Del Sol will make you look beautiful! If I could have done it over, I would have chosen a more cost effective resort, so more of my friends could have come and it would have saved us loads of money. Le Blanc spa resort in Cancun was around $625 a night and we stayed for 10 nights. We could have stayed somewhere that would have looked just as nice in photos for $100 a night.

Use Del Sol as a resource, they know some great, intimate, small hotels. Little gems of Mexico that you won't find on the big travel websites that will make your trip more cost effective and unique. :) Hope the info helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!

So I had to copy and paste random parts of my response. Hope you can piece it together and it makes sense! LOL
