We had our wedding on June 11, 2011 at Dreams Resort and thought it was AHHMAZING!! It was everything I could have ever asked for!

Accommodations (A) - The resort is beautiful! It is even better in person than in the pictures! The staff is great and always helpful! We made friends with the servers at the pool, at the bars and night club! My guests had a wonderful time and couldn't stop complementing everything at the resort.

Location (B) - The actual location of the resort is pretty far from town. If you don't plan to go into town much, its just fine!  We went into town with 20 of us and it only cost $6 a person each way. When my Husband and I went into town, it was $20 each way. The beach is unswimable, but no one in our group even cared! We loved swimming in the pool! Once you see the waves on the beach.. you won't want to get in!!!

Food (B+) - The food everywhere was certainly good, I just don't crave the food like I do at great restaurants. Here is a list of my personal favorites:

At the pool - Shrimp po boy. The shrimp in this sandwich is awesome

Seaside Grill (evening) - Crab Cakes

El Patio - We weren't crazy about the Mexican buffet on Tuesday night, but the breakfast is good and I loved the omelet station!

Himitsu - Sushi was actually pretty good, Tempura platter and the egg rolls

Coco cafe - at 1:30 they put out mini sandwiches that are a GREAT snack! I always went and grabbed a few and brought them back to the pool with me.

Room (A) - We were in room 5527 that overlooked the "quiet" pool. This room was absolutely perfect! It was huge and the bathroom! The only disappointment we had was that many people in our wedding party were upgraded to nice rooms (even nicer than ours) the only people that did not were my Parents!!! And they were the ones paying for our wedding! I called the front desk and they informed me that the others "paid" for their upgrade.. and I knew darn well that they didn't! I was pretty frustrated, but my parents graciously said it wasn't a big deal and their room was fine.

Rehearsal Dinner (B) - we just did a low key rehearsal dinner at Portofino. They couldn't accommodate all of us at one table so they split us up 8 and 8. Dinner was fine.. sort of blah. We didn't go back again. I had the rest of our party meet us at the lobby bar. We hung out there and right outside where there are seats overlooking the pool. It was really nice and didn't cost us a thing! We then went to Desires bar and sang karaoke! They do a great job of making people feel comfortable and trying to get everyone involved! I have an awful voice and I sang karaoke for the first time ever!!!!

Pedicure/Hair/Makeup (A) I had a pedicure the morning of my wedding and they did a great job. Worth the money.

I had my hair done by the salon (whatever was included in the package). I found a style in their book and she did it perfectly! Everyone loved my hair!

I also had my makeup done in the salon that was included in my package. I wasn't so sure because it was a bit darker than i usually wear, but everyone thought it looked great and I thought it looked good for pictures!

Ceremony (A++++++) We got married at the Gazebo! It was SO beautiful! I had originally planned to get married on the beach, but am SO happy I decided to go with the Gazebo! We got married at 4:30 which seemed a bit early to me when planning, but I was really happy we decided to go with the earlier time because the night FLIES BY! I would get married as early as possible :)

Cocktail hour (A+) We had our cocktail hour on the top part if the cascada terrace. My husband and I were off taking pictures, but our guests ranted and raved about the food that was served!

Guacamole

Chicken and Cheese turnovers

Chicken Choux

Beef with blue cheese

Dinner (B) -

Coconut shrimp - great

Cesar Salad - Great

Beef tenderloin with vegetables - OK, it was pretty thick and cooked well done. I like my beef a medium rare.

Brownie with ice cream - not very good. The brownie was hard. I wished we would have skipped this and just had wedding cake!

Cake (A) We had the vanilla cake and it was Delicious! I wish we would of had more!!! The kitchen saved the rest of our cake and we had it delivered on Tuesday night with champagne and ate it in bed!!!

Flowers (A) - We used Florenta that is included in most of the packages. I just emailed Magda a picture of what I liked and that was it! They were beautiful! I actually ordered 3 extra vases and then we put our bouquets in them to make 3 extra centerpieces!

Reception (A++++++++) Cascada Terrace. Our reception was the best night of my life! We had SOOOOO much fun and danced until the DJ said no more! We then went to Desires and could of danced until morning! The servers did an amazing job and found out what my husband and I drank right away and made sure we were full the rest of the night!

DJ (A++++++++) We had DJ Ricardo's brother ( I can't remember his name!) He did a fabulous job! DJ's are pretty expensive, but I think he is WELL worth it!!!

Photographer - we used Cabo Adventures who are located at Dreams. We had Danielle and she was just great! Really friendly and busted her butt  to get as many pictures in as she could. I haven't gotten the proofs back yet, but am anxiously waiting for them!

Last but not least Wedding Coordinator (A+++++) - Magda! Yes she is slow to email sometimes and she may ask questions over and over. But she was so on the ball while we were there! She met us at the front the moment we got there and made us feel so comfortable. I think she had 3 other weddings the weekend we were there and I would have never known. Her full attention was on me and making my day perfect! Please know that if Magda is your WC, you are in good hands!!!
