Pros: Professional, responsive, punctual, relaxed
Cons: none
We just received our pictures from our destination wedding and we couldn't be happier.    We found Samuel Luna Photography online looking for a photographer for our wedding in Riviera Maya, his portfolio was amazing so we decided to reach out and he happened to have the perfect package for us, he was very informative and always providing quick responses. Sam was very flexible and easy to work with, he met with us a few days before the wedding to walk the property (since the resort was recentl

Samuel and his girlfriend shot our destination wedding and trash the dress session in Riviera Maya, Mexico, on April 19th and 20th, 2015. They were incredible. In researching for a photographer, we came across Samuel. His photos were gorgeous and creative, and the reviews of his work were second to none. The reviews of other couple’s experiences sold us. It appeared that Samuel made the shoots feel effortless to the bride and groom, creative, and fun. We reached and out and from the first emai

Pros: Perfect day and precious photo memories
Cons: None
As I look back through our cherished photos from my wedding just over a year ago I'm reminded of the incredible experience we had working with Samuel Luna. Our wedding at The Beloved Hotel in Playa Mujeres would not have been complete without Samuel and his team capturing the memories of our special day in the most breathtaking way. The communication through the planning process was fantastic and put my mind at ease that we made the absolute best choice for a wedding photographer. We had chosen

This review is FAR overdue!!   My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Sam and his assistant for our wedding in Playa del Carmen back in June 2013. We actually were recipients of a discounted wedding and trash the dress package from a contest he ran through Best Destination Wedding. We were married at the Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Esmerelda - and at the time they were I believe using del Sol Photography - my husband and I had been looking through their photos and were not overly

Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing!!
My husband and I had the joy of working with Samuel Luna for our vow renewal in Mexico on October 20, 2015, our 4th wedding anniversary. I would absolutely recommend Sam! We have our photos back now and they are stunning! We absolutely love them. Sam did a great job of capturing how we felt that day and the emotions. Through the whole process, he was easy to work with, easy to communicate with and very responsive to emails and all the questions that I had about timing and the process itself. Sam

Pros: Personable, Professional, Relaxed and Talented!
Cons: None
My husband and I had the joy of working with Samuel as he photographed our October Mexico Wedding. We had a destination wedding so we were unable to meet him beforehand but Samuel was easy to communicate with throughout the wedding planning process and the day of the wedding! Samuel was so easy and pleasant to work with! Very professional and skilled at what he does. He has an eye for detail and captured the mood of the wedding perfectly. We are extremely pleased at how the pictures turned out:

Pros: Awesome to work with, on time, professional
Cons: None
I really have no complaints with Samuel, aside from, I think some of the pictures lacked originality. I'm not sure if that is really his fault or not. I was not the kind of bride who had a list of different shots I wanted to get, and I also take horrible pictures where I'm to have a "serious face" I hate that, and wish he wouldn't have had us do so many of them...it was awkward. All of that aside, he was fantastic and fun to work, and really does take great photos. I would use him again given th

My husband and I were married on October 18, 2014 at The Hyatt Zilara. I scoured the reviews of various phorographers on this site and compared prices and quality and Samuel Luna Photography surpassed them all! We went with the truthful package which gave us 7 hours plus a trash the dress session with Samuel which was the perfect amount of coverage for our 3 pm ceremony with cocktail hour and then a 4 hour reception ending at 9pm (bc of turtle nesting season) We actually signed up for a special

Pros: Super professional, Responsive and Fantastic Photos!
Cons: none
My husband and I got married on Dec. 12, 2014 at Excellence Riviera Cancun in Riviera Maya.  I had seen the work of Samuel Luna on this website and fell in love.  Photography was extremely important to me knowing that it will be the only way to capture and remember this special day.  It was a scary decision to make, but I felt confident immediately after I sent the email to Samuel and got a quick response.  Throughout the planning process, he was always quick to respond.  His pricing was extreme

Pros: friendly, professional yet easy going, beautiful photos, always very responsive and made everything very easy. Reasonable prices with top quality.
Cons: none
We were married in November, 2013 in Cancun and Samuel was recommended by a friend who lives in Mexico City.  We contacted other photographers to get quotes, but we really loved Samuel's portfolio and when we found his prices are a bit more reasonable than most of the other photographers in the area it was a no brainer.  We have no regrets - we are very happy with the final photos.      Samuel was already booked so we booked his associate Freddy for our wedding.  We were a bit disappointed at
Pros: On time, Prompt responses, Listens to your ideas, Beautiful photos

My husband and I got married on Monday December 16, 2013 at the Hyatt Zilara (formerly The Royal Cancun). I read reviews that the resort photographer was not too great, so I went on a search for another photographer. I came across Samuel Luna Photography on this website and was very interested in his work. I emailed him to see his availability, pricing, etc. Samuel response was very prompt and he answered all of my (many!) questions. He was very patient and not pushy at all. Because of our bud
Pros: Fun to work with, professional, energetic, extremely talented & artistic
Cons: None!
Samuel shot my wedding on November 9, 2013 in Xcaret Eco Park. I can't even explain how talented he is! We were so happy with our pictures! He also shot our trash the dress session. I can't say enough great things about Sam! Everyone was blown away when they saw our pictures. He caught the most perfect moments and made us relive our wedding with our pictures. They were just perfect! Aside from his amazing artistic skills he was very punctual, polite, patient, friendly and fun to be around! P

Pros: creative, personable, comfortable to work with, fast communication
There will be no regret choosing Sam as the photographer on your big day!  Sam has captured some pictures that no one else sees.  Our big day was October 19, 2013 in Cancun.  Sam and his assistant were on time, ready to work and very personable.  They understood the stress level that we had and did not bother us in anyway.  Both were very professional and just kept taking shots!  We booked TTD at Cenote and impressed with how his team tried to make my husband and I be at ease in the water.  Alth

Pros: Very personable, dependable, easy-going, very friendly...just a great guy!
Samuel Luna was our Wedding Photographer on August 12, 2013 at the Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort in Cancun, Mexico.  I first came across Samuel’s work on the Best Destination Wedding Forum and I was hooked.  His work is creative and beautiful. That’s when I knew I had to have him as my Photographer.  He was very responsive, easy going and very pleasant to work with from beginning to end. Samuel accommodated our schedule changes and arrived early and stayed late to ensure all the special mom

Pros: Very communicative... fast turnaround with photos... knows what he is doing!
We cannot recommend Samuel enough. We had our wedding at the Now Jade Riviera Cancun resort, and could not be happier with our choice in Samuel. He was very communicative via email up until our wedding day, and was very flexible. Two weeks after our wedding, Samuel sent us a teaser (of about 100 photos) - Very fast turnaround, and very professional. Choose Samuel, and you won't be disappointed!

Pros: Amazing, Professional, Personable, TALENTED, affordable, trustworthy!!!
Cons: We have nothing negative to say!
While my husband and I were in the process of planning our wedding, the most important part of it all (to me especially) was the photography.  We had booked our wedding and our stay at the Dreams Resort and Spa in Tulum in January 2013.  During the planning process we were advised that the resort offered a photography package that was included in our wedding package.  I was a little hesitant on only using the resort photographer ONLY because I was VERY picky and I wanted more time with the photo

My husband and I were married at The Royal in Cancun. Our wedding package included a photographer/package. I emailed our wedding coordinator asking what company they used. From what I got out of her email was that they contracted photographers out under that company’s name. After looking through their online wedding album I wasn’t impressed with the photos. I felt no passion-no story behind them just ordinary everyday photos.  However, I did read a few reviews on one photographer Vanessa  that t
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Our resort offered Photography as part of our wedding package. We were tempted to chose this option but I decided to look around anyway.  I found Samuel online and was instantly impressed by his portfolio as well as his pricing.  I emailed him for a quote and was expecting to hear back within a few weeks, he emailed me back right away.  My entire experience with Samuel Luna was amazing.  He was always prompt to return my emails and seemed genuinely excited to work with us on our wedding day.
Pros: Incredibly talented, highly professional, timely, courteous
Cons: can't think of a single one!
Bride to Bride Tip: Do not walk...RUN to Samuel Luna Photography!!! Hiring this man is the best decision you will make for your wedding. Period. Actually, this man at twice the price is the deal of the century. Book him to be your photographer before he realizes this. Unbelievable photos, highly professional and always ahead of schedule. If you need to know more than that, feel free to read below.   When planning our July 2013 wedding at The Reef Playacar, we looked online for qualified ph

Pros: Amazing photographs, professional and great to work with.
Samuel Luna's photographs were amazing.  Everyone was blown away with his creativity.  I have never seen wedding photographs like this in my life.  I highly recommend Samuel as your photographer for your special day.
Pros: Samuel is fun, energetic and very easy to feel comfortable working with.
Cons: None
Samuel Luna photographed our wedding (along with his assistant) on May 1st 2013 at the Barcelo Maya Palace. Samuel was excellent to communicate with from the initial email we sent him. He is extremely fast at replying to emails and very friendly. We had a Skype meeting with Samuel prior to choosing him as our wedding photographer and his charm and knowledge on photography immediately won us over.   Samuel took the time to meet us at our resort prior to our wedding day to go over our sched

Pros: Talent, personality, professionalism, creativity
Samuel Luna was highly recommended to us by our original photographer, who had to drop out of our wedding 3 months from the big day. That was the best thing that could have happened to us, because Samuel was amazing and exceeded our expectations. Since we were taking pictures before the actual ceremony it was really important to us to capture the moment Martin first saw me. Samuel scouted out the whole resort, found the perfect spot and coordinated the whole event. He captured Martin's reaction
Pros: fun, easy going, creative
Cons: none, I wish we had more time before it stormed :(
Samuel Luna is a great photographer. Not only is he a talented and professional photographer but he's able to put you at ease and make the experience a fun one. I was rack of nerves thanks to wedding planning but when he arrived to meet me in the lobby he immediately put me at ease.  We went through quick details of the wedding and it was all set.  There was no need to worry, he gets things done. He does what he says and says what he does. He has great ideas on styles, poses and knew how
Pros: Extremely ARTISTIC, friendly, professional, easy to work with.
I spent countless hours searching for the "right" destination wedding photographer for our January 2012 Riviera Maya wedding.  It was very important to us ( my fiance at that time, now husband and myself) to find a personable photographer that could creatively capture who we are as a couple on one of our most important dates in our time-line: our wedding.  I just knew after coming across Samuel's blog and portfolio he was what we were looking for.  It was a great surprise that he was reasonab

Pros: creative, friendly, energetic, talented
My husband and I found Sam through hours and hours of online searching. Being a photographer myself, I have VERY high standards. I was having a really difficult time finding someone who had great work, but was also within our budget. After browsing his website, I was hooked. My husband did all the emailing back and forth- and said he was wonderful. On the day of our vow renewal, Samuel picked us up at our resort and took us to a local beach. Samuel was a blast to work with. He was fun, he was cr
