Pros: responsive, great price, beautiful flowers
Maya Floral did an amazing job for our wedding.  The bouquets, centerpieces and ceremony decor was perfect!  At first I wasn't sure how everything would turn out since we were only communicating by email but Marvin did everything just as I asked and exceeded my expectations.  Everyone kept commenting on the flowers and they look amazing in our pictures.  Marvin was such a pleasure to work with and was very responsive to my emails.  I couldn't have been happier with my flowers and highly reccomend him.   I almost forgot to mention, their prices were a fraction of the cost of the Resorts flowers and from what I saw at other weddings the quality was way better. I am so happy I did my research and found Maya Floral for my wedding in Tulum.

Pros: Easy to work with, good price, great florist, amazing work!
We got married three weeks ago on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the Gran Porto Real Resort in Playa del Carmen. Marvin was fantastic and east to work with. I communicated with him via email and he said he could recreated most anything I wanted.   I decided to go with Marvin at Maya Floral due to the fact my resort was outrageously expensive. Our resort wanted $95 for of these centerpieces with did not even look that great.     I sent Marvin this photo and he quoted me $85.....   I told him I only had a $50 budget per centerpiece. He said he could take out the orchids and work with my lime theme with pink and green colors.   This is what he came up with for my wedding.     I couldn't be happier!!! The centerpiece was big, full and had lots of color.I would highly recommend going with Maya Floral you won't be disappointed.
Pros: Beautiful, cost effective
Cons: N/A
I began researching outside florists once I saw the pricing for my resort's floral arrangements. After some research, I heard about Marvin at Maya Floral on these boards - I am so thankful for that!   About 11 months out, I started communicating with Marvin via email. I told him my wedding date, my wedding colors, and floral ideas I had. Marvin then sent me a ton of designs he had previously done in my colors, and I was able to pick and choose certain flowers from certain designs to create my own personal design. We decided on bouquets, centerpieces, bouts, and aisle petals - the prices were great, and we were done - or so I thought.       A few months out, I decided I wanted to change my flowers from just blue & yellow to include more "tropical" colors. Again, Marvin worked his magic with a ton of different ideas and I settled on my final product for my bouquet and my centerpieces.     I also decided to add corsages to my order for the moms. I approved my invoice a few weeks before the wedding and paid half of the total amount through Paypal as a deposit.   On the day of the wedding, in order to avoid a $350 vendor fee, I had some of our guys meet the delivery guy in our lobby with cash for the flowers. (I believe there was a $30 delivery fee). We then kept all of the flowers in our room until right before the wedding. Overall, I was really impressed with all of the flowers - they were so bright and vibrant. The only thing I noticed, and I didn't even notice it until now (6 weeks after my wedding) is that we never got the votive candles for our centerpieces, lol. But really, no complaints whatsoever, and I would definitely recommend Maya Diseno Floral.   Here are some pictures of the flowers at our wedding:   3 bags of aisle petals ($15 each)   Bridal Bouquet ($120), Groom Bout ($15)   Corsages ($20), Bouts ($15)     Centerpieces ($65 each)

Pros: nice client service, affordable prices, and creative
Cons: none
After getting the price list from my resort, I was determined to go outside of the resort!  Price like $120 for a rose bouquet, and $30 for a rose bout?! err....not sure if there is any value added with these premium price flowers. I contacted Marvin, and told him what I want, and he sent me a lot of pics for inspiration and at the end, I picked pink peonies as my main flowers. Upon delivery, because my MIL's hair flowers order was printed on the second page of the invoice, and was forgotten...but no problem! Marvin went back and worth like in the movie Fast and Furious, and brought the 3 tiny orchilds to MIL just in time!
