Pros: wedding coordinator, spa staff, service, rooms, photographer
Cons: very very minor cons, not enough to highlight
We just got married at the Dreams Resort, and there is no better review I can give other than the wedding exceeded our high expectations. We are just sad that we only get to do it once!   Travel Agency: destinationweddings.com (D)- We had such a hard time finding a travel agency. The first two agents we contacted were simply uninterested in helping us find a location. They basically wanted us to pick a spot first, and then they would help with travel arrangements. We were initially very ha

Pros: service, beach, food, entertainment, room service, no wrist bands, no limit on restaurant visits, location
My husband and I were married at Dreams PV on January 3 2012. It was such a beautiful day. Our photographer Eder captured the moments and was enjoyable to work with and very talented. We told him what we expected and he exceeded it. The service at our wedding was amazing, they served everything so quickly and they were hilarious on top of it. Our servers would be dancing to the music and laughing at the jokes. It was such a fun atmosphere. Our wedding planner was Eleane and she made sure things

Pros: Food, service, grounds, value
Cons: Wedding value, limited wedding sites/options
It’s been almost 3 months since our wedding so our review is a little late, but better late than never right!! Whatever I can do to help out future brides, as I know how stressful and overwhelming wedding planning can get!   So I’ll start from the beginning-   Booking My husband and I booked about 10 months out to ensure we got good prices on our air travel. We booked through Cheaptickets.com which is, from what I’ve found one of the best sites for finding flights at a low cost.

Pros: Wedding Coordinator, Service, Food, Resort, Beach, Location
My husband and I, along with 45 guests, traveled to Dreams Puerto Vallarta for our wedding from January 20th-February 3rd, 2012. We were married on January 24, 2012. I just want to start off by saying this is by far the nicest resort we've ever been to and our wedding coordinator, Fatima, was outstanding. Sunquest: We booked our vacation a year in advance to get the best group rate possible. We used Marlin Travels as our agency and booked through Sunquest vacations (they use Westjet Airline

Dreams was absolutely perfect for us!  We got married on Nov. 18th 2011 and after going through several wedding coordinators we ended up with Fatima.  She was pretty new but really rocked it.  Email communication is a little spotty but gets much more frequent as your wedding approaches. Here are some details:     Resort We stayed in the preferred tower but most of our guests stayed in the regular tower.  We really liked this resort because it gave our guests options in terms of

Pros: Guest Safety, All-Inclusive, Preferred Tower, Beach Wedding, Spa, Value, Service
Cons: None
The short story is Dreams exceeded our expectations. Continue reading for the longer review...   I worked with The Dazzling Details to coordinate my wedding. They recommended Dreams resort as our wedding venue because they are able to accommodate a large guest list. They also provided plenty of entertainment options so we did not have to entertain everyone each day for a week. Guests who were nervous about travel to Mexico were able to stay on the resort, while others were able to venture

Pros: Location; food; environment; cost
Cons: communication
Arrival/Check-in: While in the shower the night before we left, I realized I never booked transportation from the airport to the hotel. I had thought about it, and even gave the link to other guests, but never actually did it. So, after a bunch of frantic last minute phone calls all the way up until I was literally boarding the plane with no luck (FYI you need to book 24-48 hrs ahead), we didn’t have an arranged transfer. There were a total of 5 us arriving at the same time, so I put on my game

Pros: Location, beach, value, food, rooms in new tower
Cons: lack of communication and selling scams
We had our wedding at Dreams on June 18th and overall had a wonderful time.  Our guests enjoyed their stay and the food was amazing. The property is beautiful and intimate for a big resort.  They have a private beach so you aren't bothered as much by vendors.   I think personally that the wedding coordinators are overworked and they don't have enough staff to give your wedding personal service.  There was also too much scamming going on with people in lobby trying to sell you excursions an

Pros: food, service, beach
Cons: communication, wedding planning
We just returned from our wedding and honeymoon. We stayed at Dreams April 5-11 and had 40 guests stay there as well. We had our wedding at Le Kliff.  Overall, we were very happy with Dreams as a resort. We would return and recommend it to anyone. We would not, however, recommend Dreams for anyone planning a wedding.  This will be a fairly long review, but hopefully it will be helpful. Arrival and check-in             Our arrival started a bit rocky when my husband discovered he left his s

Pros: Location
Cons: Poor planning, lack of information, last minute surprises
Brides beware: Although we are trying to stay positive for our upcoming wedding, this is what we've experienced so far:   We booked nearly a year out, but nobody returned our phone calls or emails with substantial information until about a month before our wedding. Items listed in our wedding package are actually NOT included in our wedding package. We found this out one week before the wedding. For example: In the Ultimate Wedding Package, the "Honeymoon Package" that's lis

Pros: food, location, wedding coordinator, activities, beach
I got married at Dream two weeks ago and I cannot stop telling people how much I loved it. I have travelled a lot over the years and have stayed in my fair share of all inclusive and by far this one was my favourite. Yes it might not be the fanciest compared to a Barcelo but the intimate grounds surrounded by a lush jungle and so close to town are perfect to take any group of people too. 40 of us travelled down to Dreams and I never once had to worry about my guests as their is so much to do and

Pros: Food, drinks, desserts
Cons: Major screw ups & disorganization
We just returned from our wedding at Dreams PV. All in all it was beautiful; however, the wedding coordinator Louise did make some inexcusable mistakes. This is a long review, but worth the read! Also, check out some of the other negative reviews for similar complaints on rooms, service, etc. on the TripAdvisor website.   We provided the Wedding Coordinator (WC) with all the details on how the day should go in great detail and she even commented when meeting with her upon arrival o

Pros: food, rooms (upgraded tower), beach, service, proximity to town, drinks
Cons: multiple guest had to switch rooms due to leaking/falling ceiling, long waits at the restaurants a few nights, small pool
We had a group of 52 stay in november 2010 from anywhere from 3 nights to 12 nights.  We chose this hotel because we have stayed here previously and loved it.  We did not have our wedding there so I cant rate on the wedding experience...although there were probably 8 weddings there my whole trip so I did see alot! We love staying the preferred tower. The hot tub on the balcony, the upgraded bathroom, and the swanky atmosphere are worth the extra money to us.  We have half stay in the old tower a

Pros: food, resort, location, family friendly, beach
Cons: wedding coordinator, front desk staff
I wasn't married at Dreams but we stayed there the whole week before my wedding, and had our Welcome Dinner there.   Overall ~ A- Amazing resort – I am so glad we chose Dreams, most everything was perfect. The staff was so nice, helpful, friendly, fun, etc. They really had fun with our group – I think they liked us because we were always participating in the activities; we played beach volleyball, did water aerobics, tequila tasting, ping pong, etc. With the exception of the front desk sta

Pros: Food, beach, location, great service
Cons: Allows kids
Dreams PV was amazing! I loved everything about it and so did the other 31 people in my party. My husband and I stayed there for 7 days when we got married in May of 2010.The drinks were great and the food was SO GOOD. The beach is perfect because it is so private. There is hardly anyone that is ever there! Awesome. All of the places to eat are great. The buffet had great meals no matter what time of day, the Mexican place makes THE BEST TORTILLA SOUP EVER! Both steak places were good, even the
