  1. That’s is the perfect advice to the brides. They know what they are doing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Awesome. For my wedding last year i got all my credits as well. I would recommend that resort for anyone planning a destination wedding. And I def would tell all brides to use a travel agent as well. I used Destination Weddings and they were great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. How did it all go while there@tandagethitched Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. . No, I used mine for my rehearsal dinner so it was very intimate with about 30 people Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. . Wow I’m surprised that you haven’t been in contact with your wedding coordinator at the resort as of yet. You may want to ask about that. For my wedding last year, I was in contact with my coordinator a year and a half before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yes I did pay the vendor fee because I wanted what I wanted. I also paid it for my photographer as well. I didn’t mind to pay both to get what I wanted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Here are a few pics. The flowers when they were delivered were not fully opened up but opened up all the way by the time the ceremony started. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi, Lomas Flowers are beautiful I saw them in person but I also found them outrageously over priced. I used and outside vendor for my flowers. Maya Floral and I didn’t regret it. They had wonderful reviews and were easy to work with and way cheaper than Lomas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hi, yes I had over 100 people at my wedding back in May. I didn't have any issues Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I agree, as long as you feel amazing it in, that's all that matters Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. That's amazing. It looks great on you. I live lace lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. If you were having less guests I would say the dinner would be fine but for the amount of guests your expecting I would say do something simple, causal. I did the S'mores party on the beach. I rented and amplifier so that I was able to play music. It began to rain so it was moved to the Mexican bar and it was perfect because the bar was right there lol. Drink and shots were flowing. Everyone laughing and taking and taking pics. It was perfect. I had my photographer come to my welcome mixer to capture those moments as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. . that's actually a great idea @@chelscbs. Make the S'mores Party your own. When I had mine, no one was sitting except for the few elderly guests that I had. I payed extra to have an amplifier there, so I plugged in my IPod to have music playing and everyone had a great time just drinking, eating and having good convo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. . lol I have no idea. My wedding coordinator never mentioned my deadline. I made some payments prior but the balance was the day before once everything was added in for me. Don't stress too much about that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I panicked for my deadline as well but it came and went without an issue because it wasn't updated on time. Don't worry about it honestly. I made my final payment the day before my wedding at the resort. I didn't have tables at my Smores party Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. . I had 114 guests. I chose to have a private reception in the ballroom. The pick and choose option was offered in the banquet kit. Can't remember everything but I hade seafood ceviche, chicken skewers grilled scallops and 2 or three other items Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. . Congrats on finding your dress. Wish I could give you input on the food options but I went the pick and choose options for both my cocktail hour and reception. I had multiple horsd'oeuvres and 3 meal options for dinner Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. . You are correct LeanneP. You won't know the exact cost of the set up fee until you actually meet with your coordinator and go over all the details. $2,000 definitely sounds like an error or it's for the total of rentals as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Just asked them for a breakdown for the cost of the set up for everything that they will be setting up for the wedding so that you can see each charge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. . How many guests will you be having? I'm not sure if that is correct or not. Do you have other things that need to be set up? They take into account a few things for the set up I assume. My set up fee for the entire wedding was no where near that and I ha 114 guests Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. . My experience with having my wedding in Mexico was awesome. I would do it all over again. The pros is definitely the cost and having those who mean the most to you have a mini vaca with you. I felt like I had a 4 day wedding because of all the things we did. The con for me was bringing all those suitcases because I bought all my own decor except flowers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. . Congrats Danielle. I would suggest you work with a destination wedding travel agent to elevate the hassle of looking yourself. I was doing that at first as well and it was so overwhelming like you said. Once I found a travel agent that specializes in destination weddings, everything became a breeze Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
