  5. @@lndzlou03 you're going to LOVE LOVE LOVE having your reception on the tequila terrace. It's our favorite spot at Now Sapphire, quiet and private. <3 <3
  6. We were there this past June and have a gallery of photos. Check it out. We ended up shooting the wedding at another resort though (jewel runaway bay) which is why there aren't wedding photos in the gallery. If you have any questions feel free to PM us <3
  7. Thanks for the great share. It just goes to show how important it is to ASK QUESTIONS. oh so many questions and do proper research.
  8. Glad to hear it!! We're happy to help in any way we can. Feel free to email us any questions you have as well <3
  9. @@kat5849 we might as well plug ourselves. check out our website at http://www.jasminandmatt.com OH and just to clarify, the resort doesn't waive the outside vendor fee if your photographer is a guest. They AREN'T allowed to charge it. We've stayed at resorts for the minimum 2 night stay because it ended up being cheaper than the outside vendor fee. This was at Barcelo though and not Azul. *edit* the reason we wanted to clarify this ^^^ is because we truly feel that a lot of the times certain resorts take advantage of their clients, whether it be brides or just standard guests. We've NEVER had a bad experience at any of the Azul resorts. They are beautiful hotels and the staff are incredible but some of their policies are "unfavorable" in our opinion.
  10. Just some updated information for all the brides out there. We've been in discussion with the wedding department at Azul Fives (not Azul Sensatori but still another Azul & Karisma hotel) and apparently the owners of the hotels are also the owners of the photog company they have on the premises. This monopoly is why they seem to never budge on the outside vendor fee. My contact also informed me that there are no longer "approved vendors". Some companies may be grandfathered in, but still be careful of what people claim to be. Do your research and choose your vendors based on their quality of service, not on the price. <3 <3 <3
  11. Hola @@Aumenalse !! welcome to the amazing and incomparable bestdestinationwedding.com community. If you have questions about planning a destination wedding, or a any type of wedding this is the place to be. I don't know about you but I'm doing great this morning. 12. @@CristyBates congratulations on your upcoming wedding and welcome to the bestdestinationwedding.com community. Why don't you tell us a little more about your wedding plans. Where will you be getting married? Do you have all your vendors picked out yet? In the meantime here is some inspiration <3
  13. Hi @@ericanatalie !!!! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and welcome to the amazing bestdestinationwedding.com community. 14. Not sure but maybe something like this will help you out. Vista Print has always done a great job at a reasonable price for us. Stickers could work. http://www.vistaprint.com/customizable-stickers.aspx?couponAutoload=1&GP=10%2f20%2f2016+10%3a30%3a52+AM&GPS=4118991928&GNF=0
  15. Congratulations everyone on your upcoming weddings!!!! We cannot say enough good things about Katy from Love & Lace Wedding Decor. We highly suggest you check out her facebook page to see the wonderful work shes done for wedding decor. https://www.facebook.com/loveandlacedecor/
  16. Congratulations on everyone's upcoming wedding. Regardless of who you choose we always suggest picking a professional photographer/videographer over a friend or family member. Friends and family are here to enjoy your wedding and not bear the stress of capturing all the perfect moments from your big day. I'm not saying go with us (even though you'll love us ) but please don't have uncle joe do your photos. You will be seriously disappointed.
  17. Hola @@scadeau first off we want to say a big congratulations on your upcoming wedding. We absolutely adore your engagement story and your wedding dress looks beautiful. You are going to have an amazing time at Grand Sunset Princess. We've been lucky enough to work there a handful of times and we've always had a wonderful experience and we know that the couple's we've worked with have always been so happy with their weddings there. If you have a moment to, please read John's review of our services. He's always told us that if we know couple's who are getting married at GSP and have questions or need advice that he is more than willing to provide his email and help. https://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/reviews/r/5651-jasmin-matt-photography/ Other than that we'll leave you with some inspiration and wish you the best of luck <3
  18. Hola @@SMiles !!! Welcome to the amazing bestdestiationwedding.com community and a huge congratulations on your upcoming wedding. November will be here before you know it. We've had the experience of working at both Barcelo and a couple of the Riu resorts a handful of times and our experiences have always been wonderful. We're actually photographing a wedding at Riu Yucatan today. How many guests are you thinking will be joining you? The biggest difference we can think of between the two resorts is size (Barcelo is HUGE compared to the Riu resorts) and proximity to Playa del Carmen. Barcelo is about halfway between PDC and Tulum where as Riu is right in Playacar and you'd be very close to town, shops, restaurants, nightlife, etc. I'm certain someone will have an answer for you regarding booking. In the meantime we'll leave you with a little inspiration.
  19. hola @@BeyondBlessed First off a huge congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding. Spring 2018 will be here before you know it and planning early like you are is such a smart plan. We've had the pleasure of working at Now Sapphire a handful of times and Juan Carlos the wedding coordinator there is absolutely amazing. We cannot recommend him and Now Sapphire enough. http://www.jasminandmatt.com/?s=now+sapphire We'll leave you with a little inspiration and open the floor to other brides <3
  20. Hola @@carolynbauto congrats on your upcoming wedding. Barcelo is an absolutely beautiful resort. Have an uneven bridal party isn't a problem and you shouldn't worry for a second. When it comes to standing during the ceremony it really comes down to how traditional you are. We've always experienced the bridesmaids on one side and the groomsmen on the other but it's your wedding do you do what ever will make you happy! <3
  21. Hi @@phoenixbride Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Feb 2018 will be here before you know it!!! If you're looking for a Mayan Ceremony we've worked with a wonderful officiant company in the past who offer just that. Their names are Anna & Anastasia from Riviera Maya Officiant If you do end up contacting them let them know Jasmin & Matt sent you their way <3 When it comes time to book a photographer give us a shout.
  22. Good morning @@nikitasey Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and welcome to the amazing bestdestinationwedding.com community. This may not be a wedding tip but since you've never been to Mexico make sure you plan all kinds of excursions while you are down. Go into town, eat local food, visit ruins, take in the local culture. Mexico is big, beautiful and so much more than just the resorts. If you want specific suggestions feel free to message us on here or send us an email info[at]jasminandmatt.com We'd be happy to help. <3 We'll leave you with some inspiration to start your day!
