  1. HI ladies! I got married on April 29th and it was AMAZING! We had the Ultimate wedding package. We arrived at Dreams with all our guests on April 26th. We packed swim suits and cover ups in our carry ons because we arrived around 11am. The resort took care of getting our luggage to our room and it made its way there before we did. From the moment we entered the gates we were pampered!! Due to availability our room didn't get upgraded but it was gorgeous! We stayed in 2508. Sunday we hung at the pool bar and took advantage of the pool activities.. the entertainment crew is so much fun! Sunday night we all met at the lobby bar for a little meet and greet. Monday night we went out into Cancun with our friends for the Bachelor/ Bachelorette night (through Apple vacations)... Not the best experience due to the fact that they allow sixteen year olds in the bars. Tuesday we played a lot of beach volleyball, beer ball, beer pong, pool games and again hung at the pool bar... Luckily most of our friends know how to pace themselves so it was a long day. Wednesday... The BIG day... They were calling for 100% all week and until about 11am that morning... It didn't rain once all day! We all had our hair and makeup done at the resort spa and we were all so happy with what they did! We all brought pictures on our phones of what we wanted. (4 bridesmaids, my mother and my grandmother.. and me!) Ceremony was at the Gazebo.. We didn't go crazy with options. We had the basic setup and added the small flower arrangements to the gazebo. It was stunning. We got married at 6pm so there weren't many people in the pool and no one was on the beach. We noticed a lot of the 4 and 5pm weddings people were still playing beach volleyball right behind the gazebo. Just something I noticed. Not sure if the weddings found it distracting. Our cocktail hour was on the beach.. Again no upgrades and it was made beautiful. Highly recommend the Mexican mariachi band! They were so much fun. Our reception was also held on the beach. We had 6 tables with lights under them, a light up dance floor and DJ. I loved it! There was definitely enough lighting with the standard lighting included. The DJ was awesome. He kept everyone on the dance floor. Our meal was the filet and we could cut it with a fork! It was that good. Our guests left on the 30th and May 2nd. My husband and I left on May 7th. It was the perfect wedding week and honeymoon. The hospitality and food was five star! I brought my own photographer so as soon as I get my pictures back from him I will share or feel free to friend me on FB. I hope this helps ladies.. Any questions please let me know.
  2. Yea, I read that they may be needed when we land in Mexico. I would hope they are used to us brides bringing a ton of welcome goodies for our guests and it won't be an issue. Leaving in 19 days, married in 22!! I can't believe it! Thank you girls for all the great insight. It has been a huge help to me!
  3. Is anyone bringing their receipts for the wedding bags and favors? I don't have any of my receipts. opps
  4. @@nattiegams325 wow! Thank you so much for sharing! So helpful. While you were there did you see anyone have their reception on the beach? Haven't seen many pictures of that and wondering if I should switch to the sea side grill as well
  5. Hi ladies. Are any of you having trouble switching certain features from the package for other options? Also any brides that have already been there, are the beaches really windy? We are having out reception on the beach but I'm not hearing to many other brides are choosing that option.
  6. @@nattiegams325 Did they make you pay the extra cost for the Seaside Grille? I saw that and its looks beautiful! @@pddcmc We are getting married at 6
  7. @pddcmc-They said the only other place is the ballroom but I'm not flying my guests to Mexico to party inside. We can pay an additional cost if we wanted to have it at one of the restaurants. I'd be fine with the beach reception if I was pictures of other receptions on the beach. I know it will all work out I just wasn't expecting them to charge for every little thing. And I didn't realize I was so limited on reception options. What time are you getting married?
  8. I am getting married April 29 2015 at Dreams. Is anyone else having their wedding on a Wednesday? If so are they making you do a beach reception as well?
  9. Hi ladies! I am getting married at Dreams on April 29 2015. They have us scheduled for a beach reception. Has anyone done or is anyone doing one of these as well?
