I had my wedding at Barcelo Maya Palace and chose Octavio Montes to do my photography over the resort photography as his prices were more competitive. If there is a package that you want, he will try his best to accommodate your request! So even if you don't see a package from him directly that you like, just tell him what you're looking for and he'll work with you on that. He did a great job with my wedding photos and was prompt and even stayed a bit later than our agreed time to finish off the last bit of photos for us. I never had an issue communicating with him prior to the wedding day and he was always quick to respond to my questions.

I had to look into the differences between the resort promoted photographer and other photographers. In the end, we are going with Octavio for our July 2015 wedding. Even with the outside vendor fee ($500) for my resort, Octavio's packages were way more reasonable than what the resort was offering. Octavio was flexible in accommodating what I wanted to fit into my budget. I would suggest talking to Octavio for more information. Factoring the images I saw along with pricing and packages, we decided to go with Octavio for our wedding photography in July 2015. His pricing is very reasonable and he was willing to adjust his packages to accommodate what we wanted. He does both photography and videography so we only have to pay one outside vendor fee to have them come. You can see his website to see options for samples of work and his packages/pricing. @@NurseNurse0101 Was the officiant not included in your wedding package? I am planning a symbolic ceremony as well, but I was under the impression that the officiant would be included in the cost of the package.... I have Marlene assigned as my wedding planner, I have yet to contact her still as we just finalized our date and time, but do not have confirmed guests yet and I am still not sure which package I want... anyone know if I can or should request Estrella? Hi Everyone! I am getting married at the Barcelo Palace on July 8th, 2015. All we've done so far is secure the gazebo for our 3pm wedding and that Marlene is our WC. We are thinking about the Mint Breeze Package, but would love some more information if anyone has any regarding this package. The package includes 1 tabletop flower arrangement... is that only for the head table? or 1 for each table? so confused! Are white linen chairs the standard and you pick your own sash cover? Any information you may have regarding options for this package, please send my way! historiemaker@@gmail.com I have read all the reviews about photography/videography... so my understanding is that if we hire anyone from the area will have to the $500 flat fee? Can't get around that by booking the 2 nights anymore? If the 2 nights booking is still available and no outside vendor fee, I would totally be down to "share" a photographer/videographer with someone and split that cost!

I am getting married at the Barcelo Palace on July 8th, 2015. Anyone have any information regarding the Mint Breeze package? does it include a particular colour already or can we choose it ourselves? Are any decorations included in the package or is that all extra cost or bring your own? I have read everyone's suggestions regarding photography, I am opening to "sharing" a photographer/videographer if anyone else is having a wedding there around that time.
