  2. Repost

Brand new, in the box directly purchased from Ugg Australia.  Size 7.5 but they run really big.  (My guess is that they fit like an 8.5).  I am typically a 7.5/8 and found the size 7 to fit me comfortably.   I also have the size 7 that I wore for the ceremony and for an hour at our wedding reception.

Soft nubuck shapes the Lucy wedge sandal from UGG Australia, in nude with braided raffia trim.

    • UGG Australia "Lucy" nubuck sandal.
    • 4 1/4" covered wedge; 3" equiv.
    • Peep toe tops 1 1/4" platform.
    • Straps crisscross over ankle.
    • Fixed bow at back of counter.
    • Leather lining and footbed.
    • Braided raffia-trimmed midsole.
    • Rubber sole provides traction.
    • "Lucy" is imported.

I had the hardest time finding a neutral colored wedge sandal to wear for my beach wedding.  I'm 5'0 and needed some height but was worried about wearing heels in the sand.  These wedge style sandals were perfect because they were soft, comfortable, and TALL!  I was able to walk in the sand without sinking!  I also really liked them because they blended in with the sand and gave the appearance that I was barefoot. This design has been discontinued and very hard to find so I purchased two pairs of these sandals and never returned the ones that were too big! Originally purchased for $115.00.   Please make a reasonable offer for either pair if you're interested.  Feel free to message me with any questions!

  3. I purchased mine from Amazon thinking that I'd sell it after my wedding but decided to keep it.  We just returned from our 1st anniversary trip and  I packed my dresses, a bathingsuit, cover up, heels, and accessories in my Wally Bag and used it as a carry on.  That bag is amazing!  Here is the link to the one I have if you can't find one from another bride. Good luck!!!

  5. Our wedding was on July 18, 2015 and I'm finally getting around to write reviews now.  This website and page was so helpful for me while I was planning!  Here is a link to our photographer's Facebook album of our wedding at SMB.  I hope it helps some of you who are in the planning process get an idea of how amazingly beautiful and perfect this resort is for your wedding day!!!

Our photographer is a our AMAZINGLY talented friend Dave!  He travels all over the world to shoot weddings and events.  He loves doing destinations if you're looking for a photographer!

  6. Does your resort have a champagne toast on the beach after the ceremony?  This could be a fun way to incorporate the Mariachi and also make for some fun pictures!  It would almost be like a little cocktail hour and you could ask if the resort could keep the bubbly flowing while the Mariachi played for their 45 minutes.  Just a thought!  Good luck with the rest of your planning!!!

  7. Thanks ladies!  I agree with @@acw271011, Kim you are a smart traveler!  We're flying out of the US and after a little more searching I found the following (personal items are to be stored under the seat so I think I'll be ok according to these measurements!)

    Carry-on Baggage Size Restrictions

Each customer may bring onboard one personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop, etc.) which must fit under the seat, plus one carry-on bag which must be stowed in the overhead bin. Dimensions are as follows:

    Overhead:

    • In order to fit in the overhead bin, your carry-on bag must not exceed 22" L (55.88 cm) x 14" W (35.56 cm) x 9" H (22.86 cm) on all of our aircraft types

    Under the seat:

    • Airbus A321: 17 inches (43.2 centimeters) length x 13 inches (33 centimeters) width x 11 inches (27.9 centimeters) height
    • A320 / E190: 18 inches (45.72 cm) length x 15 inches (38.1 cm) width x 8 inches (20.32 cm) height

  8. Hi ladies,

We're leaving one week from today for our wedding in Mexico!  I'm super excited and am now just trying to work out the logistics of how we're going to get everything down there.

Has anyone ever used either the Thirty-One Zip-Top Organizing Tote or All-Day Organizing Tote as a personal item in addition to a carry on bag?  I appreciate your help and suggestions!  Thanks!!!

  9. Our wedding is  3 weeks from today and I can't believe how fast it's sneaking up on us! :D

From day one we were not planning on having video service at our wedding.  It was even an included option in our wedding package but every video I watched I was left feeling "eh" and that we don't need video.  I also kept thinking that we are going to have amazing photographs to swoon over.  BUT THEN... I was introduced to a specific videographer's work and after viewing his work (@@KayRae <3 I have you to thank!), I felt so compelled to reach out him them directly- seriously, I cried when I watched his videos of strangers- crazy but made me want to have our wedding day captured on film so much more!

Because we weren't planning on having this service, we have not budgeted for it and it's definitely a splurge.   Planning a destination wedding has proven to cost more than we had anticipated and I made some great sacrifices with flowers and decor to keep our wedding budget in check and I keep telling myself that our day will be beautiful regardless. We have an amazing photography team coming with us from home and I know that they will do a magnificent job photographing our day and we will have those memories to look back on.

I'm just not sure what to do and would appreciate thoughts and advice from other brides.

  10. @@Heidz1234 we're having a small wedding with 16 guests at Secrets Maroma Beach next month!  Like you, I wanted to have a fun wedding reception after our ceremony and it's all coming together so nicely!   We opted for the Secrets Ultimate wedding package and are hiring a DJ through the wedding coordinator at the resort, I found an awesome local baker recommended to me by @@KayRae, and have received so many reviews and recommendations from both @@KayRae and @@FutureMrsNash!  This website has been a Godsend in helping me plan the perfect destination wedding and I seriously would have been so much more confused and stressed if I hadn't found it and the girls on here!   The resort is gorgeous and everything has been very easy going and stress free leading up to our wedding so far!

Best of luck with your plans!!!

  11. We are actually using clutches instead of flowers for my girls.... I'm getting them made on etsy and they will look something like this, they will double as part of the BM gift and are really pretty I think! I'm not sure if I will bother with a bouquet for myself either, since I will be holding my sons hands down the aisle (they will be 9), so no hand to hold flowers and it would be a good place to save money if I don't even have a use for them!

Here is an example of the clutches attachicon.gifImageUploadedByTapatalk1405645031.397860.jpg

What shop on Etsy are you purchasing the clutches from?  I love these!

  12. When I was planning my destination wedding in Cancun (it was held in March 2015), the ONE thing I was concerned about was my hair! I have long, type 3A/3B hair. I can control it at home, where the humidity is 20% on average, but it gets frizzy and wild in high humidity. I talked to SO many vendors down in the Cancun area who said "oh yea, we've worked with curly hair before, it's no problem" but I didn't trust any of them... they didn't seem to understand MY hair. Seriously, my hair was my one source of stress during the wedding planning process.

Well, it IS possible to tame crazy frizzy hair down in Mexico! The woman who did my hair (Esperanza from Styling Trio) went through every single one of my curls with a curling iron, which took forever but eliminated all of the frizz and made distinct, individual curls. Then she used Paul Mitchell hair mousse to hold it, pinned it up, and sprayed it with Paul Mitchell hair spray.

A warning, though... I had my hair down but kind of tied together (not a braid, but the hair was folded over itself so it was in a mass). I wouldn't suggest using this technique and then wearing your hair completely down, because the wind will blow it all apart.

So to all you curly-haired brides: don't fret!

Your hair looks stunning!!!! So beautiful!!!  Do you have a picture from the front and side?  I need some ideas for my wedding day hair. :)

I also have long, thick, 3A/B curl type too and am SOOOOO stinkin nervous about my hair too!  My hair can become a giant frizzy POOFY mess!  Whenever we travel to Mexico I always bring so much product with me!  I've been going back and forth about doing my own hair but have hired Sara Tamargo's partner for hair.

Did you style your hair normally first and then have the stylist work their magic after?  I'm not sure if I should style and air dry as normal or just let them style it completely.  I should probably ask about this...

    Thanks for posting this!!!

  13. So I was rly upset about not being able to afford a wedding video bc I really wanted to capture all the sights/sounds of the whole week.  Luckily my cousin used this cool video app at her wedding called weddingmix that lets you make a really fun wedding video out of all the memories with everyone at your wedding.

I love the idea of seeing my wedding through the eyes of my family and friends throuout the whole 7 days were in Cali!! Are you guys using an video apps for your wedding ?

@@blushingbride19 I'm intrigued!  We are not planning on having a videographer due to budget constraints.  I would love to see your video if you are able and willing to share!
