    The airport and check in was enough. I broke down in my room haha it's bound to happen as you said.

     

    You aren't. We had some pretty big downers at our wedding. We let it slide off our back and let it be their issue. Enjoy your week! You picked a great resort. They got to see what it was about before they booked. Their happiness on vacation is their issue.

    I felt my communication slowed down some too haha! Sorry ladies!

    No haven't heard of any of the new ones but I'm sure they are great

     

    Yes we had guests without the divider and beware the list you send with room preferences isn't even looked at it seems. Rooms with 4 people got 1 bed etc. lots of hassles at check in and changing of rooms

    Soooo.... A week ago the best man cancelled because he changed jobs. Now we're hearing from others that it's because they are trying to conceive. Trying. That's just... Ugh.... You can't wait? Then test after?

    It's not like May 7-14 is that long away. Wow. Sorry Hun.

    Venting! Disappointed In Friends

    I feel your pain. This is very common for destination weddings even from ones own family members.

     

    The girl who I thought was my best friend and whom I considered paying for her trip barely said a word to me after I got engaged and we were inseparable. Long story short I got engaged April 2014 and I haven't talked to her since that May. Not a word. It used to cause me stress and tears then I realized it wasn't worth my time. I focused on the people who did come (and some were shockers) and fostered those relationships.

     

    It's tough, it makes no sense and it can be darn we'll hurtful but just remember at the end of the day it's you and your fiancé that matter and the ones who love you most will be there no matter what. Hugs.

    Yes all of my wedding party had their makeup done there. They use MAC and do a great job. They will apply false lashes as well. They have their own stock unless you like a specific brand.

     

    I looked to bring someone on site for hair and make up and the cost I was quoted was HIGH. Like over $600. I felt the spa on site did great work. But I am pretty easy going as I don't wear much make up in person. Depends what you are used too I am guessing.

    They do fabulous work! They do this each and everyday so are experienced. I had hair barely to my chin and they got it into an up do. Was blown away! Are you on FB? I have posted pics recently on the GS page!

    This comment just washed fear over me. If they accidentally don't have the palapa booked for me I think I would have a nervous breakdown.

    I emailed them 3 times leading up too because I worried too. That's why I picked them (ok not the only reason but one lol). She sent me a screen shot of my booking in their spreadsheet to ease my mind lol

    Can you share the etsy site for wedding songs! Would love that. I got a sign with our wedding date but this is up my alley too!!

     

    Keep us posted on your wedding dress. I'd go elsewhere too. Like come on!

     

    Ugh on the ring! Hope it's back soon. I had a recent issue too. My inspection was good and they sent off to be soldered. At that location (companies manufacturing location) they said a claw was broken and needed to be fixed. ??? Calgary just said it passed inspection so I refused to pay the charge. Ring came back fixed but no soldering lol. Manager was embarrassed. Offered it free but I said maybe another time. I had already been waiting awhile due to another issue with the new additional band I got for my anniversary (phew)

    Need Help! Mexico 2017 Wedding

    We got married at the Grand Sirenis in the Mayan Riveria. I felt it was very budget friendly. Both for guests and wedding packages. In 2015 our Alberta guests paid $1565 all in for 7 nights and our Ontario guests $1465. We had 45 people and a lot of extras for around $5500 Canadian. I agree with Ann, your TA should be helping to guide your decision!

    Styling Trio Vs The Best Moments Hair And Make Up

    I ended up using Styling Trio. Best decision ever! They were so amazing. They did exactly what I wanted. I had a trial and used this trial for a family photoshoot. Had them come to Dream Riviera Cancun for hair and makeup for me and my 7 girls, had a hair change for the reception. And they also did my TTD photoshoot hair and makeup. I love Adrian and his team. I'm so glad I went with them.

    I think with purple and orange you can save your cash on the colored cloths for the alter. It'll be overkill. You can see my pics below in the links. I had fuchsia turquoise and orange. I feel less is more in Mexico :)

     

    Agree though. Hard to envision stuff. Get on Pinterest and Google to find pics in your color scheme and such.

     

    For chairs, if you want pic two or three you'll have to upgrade your chairs! The basic chair included is like a patio plastic chair. It will come standard with a white cover. The chair bow is extra.

     

    Love we have the same wedding date at the same resort.
