My question for those who got legally married before your ceremony: What date are you all using as your anni date? I'm having the dilemma because I will be legally married months before our actual ceremony.

I'm no expert but I went to a wedding like that. What they did was do pictures with the group and everyone (we were close to the lake) they also stopped at their favorite bar/restaurant (they were close with everyone there) had a few drinks, some snacks for kids or adults if already hungry and also did a trolley ride around town then straight to the place of reception. Just try and fill in time in between is what they did, with fun stuff of course.

Hi all! I was newly engaged on Christmas 2013. We will be having a no ceremony wedding, only a reception. For my reception I don't want to wear a wedding dress but maybe a cute white reception/cocktail dress. Thoughts? I know we will be holding the reception later this year November-January-ish. I want my first dance to be a Spanglish version of I Turn To You by Christina Aguilera. It is beautiful and I feel would be a wonderful touch since my fiancé's family is Latino and my family is not. I'm just here to talk wedding since I'm sure my friends are going insane by now!
