  1. The planning is going okay. I have decided to bring over my own bouquet and instead of having them make my bouquet. I will have them make a centerpiece for the dinner instead. I am adding color by using fake rose petals as an aisle runner. My colors are brown, Burnt Orange, and Tan/Champagne. We have about 25 people coming. We have a whole weekend filled with activities. Thursday will be the welcome day, Friday excursions and rehearsal &Dinner, Saturday excursion and wedding. I believe they usually have a beach party on Saturday so we will be using that as the reception. During dinner we will have the father/ daughter, mother /son dance and speeches. We are actually bringing our photographer, since it is about the same amount to get a photographer for just 4 hours in Jamaica. I am really excited about it because he will be photographing the whole weekend!!! Exciting!! What time is your wedding?

  6. I am sorry to hear that. I am having issues with my in-laws wanting to go to Jamaica period, but you know at the end of the day I don't want 30 years later to look at my pictures of a wedding that was not what we wanted. I am glad that you are getting to plan the wedding of your dreams and the medical setbacks did not keep you down!!
  7. Is it rude that I refuse to block out rooms? When we first began telling people about the wedding they had 26months! We are still a little ways away but it is still a worry that I am going to get stuck paying something I should not have to.

  10. I am booking Misha Earle for my wedding how did she do? Did she really interact well with you? Family? Did you have to figure out your own poses? Sorry about all the questions, I am just a little nervous about the photography since I have heard other brides horror stories.

  13. Here is my plan (if it works great) I plan to send out the invites in Aug 2013 with a RSVP deadline of Jan 2015. The actual booking deadline is the end of Feb. I am doing my passport invite as a brochure to get people excited but get them the info that they need. My wedding is 4/25/15.

  15. Hello Ladies I am getting married 4/25/15 at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Jamaica. I am so excited, I got engaged June 2013 and I knew immediately that I wanted a Destination Wedding. I have a wonderful TA who helped me with deciding what resort and I can redirect all traveling questions from my guest to her which is Always a plus because who really has time for that when planning a wedding especially a DW. Are there any brides who are somewhat a little flustered about the whole process?? I know I am overwhelmed a little. I have paid the deposit for the wedding as well as the accommodations now photographer, videographer etc. O did I mention I am having a reception here LOL!!

  17. I have an HP Photosmart, I have not used it for wedding stuff yet, but I printed a few photos and they look like it was professionally done. I think for small DIY I will use it, but for printing my passport invites and boarding pass RSVP I will be using Office Depot for printing and cutting!! Everything else Yup just call it Krishawn's printshop LOL
