  1. My wedding is July 18th. I am eagerly awaiting the package information so that I can start making decisions on flowers and centerpieces and what not. I was wondering if anyone brought with them table runners and/or centerpiece decorations and whether this ended up being a hassle. I am also wondering how the photographer at the resort is. I haven't booked anyone else so I am hoping they are decent. I have read mixed reviews. On an unrelated note I was wondering if any of you ladies made welcome bags for your guests and if so what kind of things did you bring to put in them. I want to make cute welcome bags with useful things but at the same time I am afraid I am going to be overloading my luggage. Any advice is welcomed. Another question I had is whether anyone knows of something fun I could do with the ladies attending the wedding sort of like a "bachelorette day". My fiancé is taking men deep sea fishing for his bachelor day and I would like to do something special with the ladies. I didn't know if there was something fun locally to do for the day or even is the resort offers some sort of spa day package or something. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the advice everyone! I will try both of those options!
  3. I know several people on this site have indicated that they utilized the services of dj doremixx. I have been trying to contact him and the phone numbers on his site aren't working. my fiancé speaks spanish and wants to speak with him about fees. Does anyone know a number he can be reached at? THANKS!!

  5. Is there a separate thread to be able to read peoples reviews of their weddings at Dreams specifically, or are they just written throughout this thread?

I hope you have a fantastic wedding Let us know how it goes, when you get back. I am bummed about the lanterns but I am not surprised by the information. We have about 60 people on our list to invite and I hoping we can at least get the 20 that are included in the ultimate package. My fiancé and I are okay with there not being a ton of people there, it is more my parents who are concerned about people not making it. I think we have to do what we want as a couple though. You only get married once
  7. Hey Ladies, This is the best site ever. I am so excited to have found it. My fiancé and I visited Dreams in September and we have just this week booked the date of July 18th for our wedding. We are very excited, however we are noticing that a lot of family members are starting to be concerned about the wedding being far away ( we live in NY). My parents especially, are worried that many people won't attend ( which I am okay with). I am just wondering how many people most of you invited, and then how many people ended up actually attending. If you would be willing to share this with me I would really love it! Another completely random question I have that may be on here but I haven't read all the pages is whether or not Chinese Lanterns are allowed. We would like to release them the night of the wedding, and the ones I found are non plastic and biodegradable. I was just wondering if anyone knew. Thanks so much!

  9. If you hire an outside DJ for your ceremony and reception do they bring microphones that can be used for the ceremony?
