  1. Hey I've noticed some of you mentioning a FB page for a chat as well?? What's it called exactly? I can't seem to find it!
  2. Hi there! My wedding is 4 months out and yes, the vendor fees are ridiculous and I'm on my 4th wedding coordinator/designer. However, it seems that no matter what hotel you choose, there will always be something. The hotel itself is gorgeous and honestly, everyone I know that's done destination says the same thing: the planning is a nightmare, but once you're there, it's beautiful and the point it to have a good time, everything will work itself out. I'm definitely disappointed about the lomas prices. I'm arguing right now about the gazebo linens, as paying $100 per linen (white only) is ridiculous!! It's $150 per linen in a color. They're making a ridiculous profit, it's crazy.
  3. You might want to reconsider the wool if it's 100% wool. It's actually a really lightweight material ideal for destination weddings. That's what we bought for our groomsmen, as for some reason they don't make linen pants in any color other than beige (I wanted grey) here in BC! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Vancouver bride here too! Getting married Dec 18th, 2014 at Azul Beach, Riviera Maya. Have my dress, bridesmaid dresses, photographer booked, and guests confirmed! Feeling very organized Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks! I haven't seen that thread yet!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. It would be nice to have the option for sure! When you're there, could you look at the different ceremony locations and post on here what they're like? I've booked to have it on the beach, but I think there might be more than one beach location. It would be nice to get some info from a bride's point of view! If you're taking pictures as well, sharing some of them would be awesome and greatly appreciated!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Yeah, if you do some research, you'll see that Azul Beach does not accommodate large wedding groups. The other Azuls seem really nice too though. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. @@henrich0504 I'd love to hear how your wedding went! If you have any pictures of your ceremony decor I'd love to see it! Sounds like you did something similar to what I was thinking. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah that doesn't work for Canadian brides (at least not BC ones). I'm getting legally married a couple of weeks before the Mexico wedding. I had to get in touch with a wedding commissioner and she is coming to my house. They don't do the "go to city hall and get hitched" thing like I thought! It's going to work out well because my fiancé's grandparents can't fly anymore so they will get to see us get married anyways. With that said we are doing the symbolic ceremony in Mexico, but most definitely treating it as our real wedding with the gown and ring exchange, etc. Getting excited every day! 10. @@KaraEbeth I picked playa weddings photography and they were super fast to reply; pretty much same day. They also helped offset the vendor fee and they shoot a lot of Azul Beach weddings so it's great that they're familiar with the venue!! I've put my deposit down with them, getting married December 18th Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. @@ng2015 I have also been having issues with my wedding coordinator bring switched with no notice. That part is very frustrating, but my wedding is far enough away not to start panicking yet! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Hi thee, I'm getting married at AZ thus December and for the bride and groom free room promo, it was 10rooms booked and then 1 room free.
  13. Hi there!! I noticed that some people used Blue Lens Caribe for their photography. Any other suggestions? Looking for a Canadian or US company. I'm getting married at Azul Beach December 19th 2014!!!
