I like this look http://www.colincowieweddings.com/member/johannamoore/237223 but I am having a hard time deciding how much fabric I should purchase... Any recommendations... It looks like it has 4 sheers so if I have calculated correctly that would be 25 yards each color?
  2. @@Kingz85 I have read those stories also and it has made me nervous! I am trying to keep the mind set that that wont happen!! Is DJ All music the one with the MC? I think I had seen your review on trip advisor (I like to cover all my bases on what to expect lol) How did you set up your reception tables with a smaller group? We have about 27 including us. I found the dimensions for the sheers! Thank u! @@lolita2014 hey!!! I was reading a post just now that you are using mega dj! What made you go with him? I am going back and fourth. I cannot really find reviews on him..
  3. You wedding sounds perfect!!! What DJ did you use? We have around the same number of guest and I keep going back and fourth on the DJ.. Also did you purchase your own sheers of the ceremony set up? What dimensions did you go off of? @@Kingz85 loved your post! Makes me excited!!! What fabric did you purchase, where, and how much did you bring with you? Thank you! Also! Has anyone seen bright orange and pink on the beach? How do those colors look against the water?? LOVE LOVE LOVED reading your reviews!!!! Makes me so excited! How did you like DJ all music? Did he play all the songs that you wanted?

I just emailed them today about the flowers I wanted, but I also wasnt impressed by what they had to offer and the amount. I may look into making my own. Do you have a link to the handing corsages that you are talking about?
  7. Thank you for the input! It helps to know what others are bringing and not bringing. I am going to have to look at the flowers for the cocktail party because $85 for 8 is not bad. Awh no donkey on the resort lol maybe we can have it come directly after the wedding on the beach just to jump start the laughs and fun. Maybe.. I emailed my travel agent that works with Azul resorts and she said she can give me a location to get alcohol near by so I am assuming that means we can bring into the resort? Maybe just secretly?
  8. This blog has been amazing to read! I would of never thought about some of this stuff you ladies have thought about doing. A few questions Did anyone happen to get the free private event for 16 rooms booked? If so are you using this for your reception? I was told that I could but I could not pick the location.. Makes me a little nervous because I would love near the pool but I feel like that is a popular location. We are having a cocktail party the Friday before our wedding. Did anyone have any ice breakers or anything like that at their cocktail party? Did anyone decorate for the cocktail party? For the reception I was going to bring the centerpieces with me because lomas is over priced. Have most of yall also brought the table coverings?? Or did you purchase that threw them? I was looking at the Lomas site.. Has anyone herd anything about the Donkey at wedding for after? Doubt we will purchase that for fun because every little thing adds up but thought it was pretty funny and would make for fun pictures. Last question: Can we bring in our own alcohol to the resort? I know it is all inclusive but one day before the wedding we wanted to go out and get some patron to have at a or the table/s for shots? Happy Planning
  9. I saw that you are now having the DJ with the MC as well. We have 32 guest booked but our wedding is not till June so people could still come. I am really leaning towards a DJ because I dont want to have to worry about the music! Please let me know what you think about having one! I see your wedding is coming up soon exciting!!!!

  11. Heyyyy!!! Wow! This site is amazing! So many great ideas. Our wedding date is set for June 7th 2014 at AS. I just recently started looking at the photographers and DJs. Any good input on who to go with? Is it better to go with outside vendors and pay the fee? What are the 2014 brides doing right now? I look on this site and feel like I need to get on top of stuff. I never thought to bring my own decorations!! For me save the dates are out and rooms are beginning to get booked. I start dress shopping the beginning of October, and I have started researching photographers and DJs. I have also started purchasing stuff for the welcome bags. Thank you so much for the help in advanced!!
