  1. @@liz24 I'm stressing out! lol how about you? I had initially planned to do a legal ceremony in the state I live in, but last minute decided I wanted to do the legal ceremony in Mexico. Everything worked out fine, but the only issue I am having is my fiance took his mother's last name. Not his fathers. I don't know if this will be an problem? I emailed them today and I am hoping they will get back with me soon! I still have a lot of little details I need to figure out. Do you have all of your stuff done?
  2. May 30th is my date!! I'm sure I will see you there! I was wondering about that too, but I haven't asked about it yet. That seems like a short amount of time to go over everything. I have been having trouble getting a response back when I email and it is usually from different people.
  3. Thanks so much for the info! Yes, I will be having a beach ceremony and reception at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya!
  4. Hi everybody! I'm getting married at the Riu in May and I was wondering if anyone knows what the average price is for floral centerpieces at the reception? The wedding coordinator emailed me 2 weeks ago asking for a picture so she could price it, but I still haven't heard back. Just trying to budget some things. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
  5. I said that wrong lol sorry! Its $70 per person and you have to have at least 40 people
  6. Yay! I'm sure I will see you there! I have been in school and just got out for the break so I plan to start getting more organized. I am going to have my reception on the beach. I don't think many people do that, but I really wanted to! It's a little extra. It's $40 a person and a beach location fee also. Congrats on your wedding!! If you have any more questions let me know! I have some price lists and things
  7. Hi everyone! I am planning to get married at the Riu RM Maya in May 2014. I'm trying to get an early start and this site has been soooo helpful just wanted to say thanks for all the great posts! I'm sure I'll have many questions a long the way
  8. Hi everyone! I am super new to this website but it has a ton of helpful information! I m planning to get married in May 2014 at Riu Palace Riviera Maya. I'm trying to get a head start on everything. I have a good idea of what I would like to do, but I'm a little confused about the reception part. I scheduled the wedding for 5pm on the beach and then ideally I would like to go straight to the reception and have that on the beach as well. The wedding planner said I could have a music system set up on the beach, but I would like my guests to be able to dance. Did anyone have their reception on the beach? And if so were your guests able to get up and dance? Thanks!
