Hi all. My wedding in Grand Cayman is right around the corner (Dec. 14) and I'm realizing all of the things I still need to get done. YIKES! Can any recent Grand Cayman brides (or ladies planning to get married in Cayman) suggest a good place for a welcome party/rehearsal dinner that isn't too crazy expensive? As an alternative, my fiance and I are also considering chartering the Red Sail catamaran for our wedding guests for the night before our wedding and offering heavy hors d'ouvres and/or sandwiches from a restaurant or caterer. Has anyone done this and if so, have any recommendations for food? Also, we are looking to have a private breakfast/brunch (buffet if possible) for our guests the morning after the wedding. Does any one have any ideas on where we might go for this (not too too expensive)? Thanks all!

Hi all. I'm looking at the possibility of planning my wedding in Grand Cayman in mid-November or mid-December (avoiding the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays). I've been reading this thread and have learned some great info. (Thanks all!) I am actually heading to the island next week to meet with a planner from Celebrations and they are going to show us around a few venues (at no fee- which is great). However, I'd love to know if anyone has used them as a planner and what they think. Also, has anyone had any of their wedding events at the restaurant called Osetra Bay? Other venues we are considering are Ritz Carlton, Caribbean Club/Luca, Grand Old House and possibly a private house. If anyone has any strong pros/cons on any of these places, I'd LOVE to hear them. Congratulations on your wedding! (which must have just happened). I would love to know where you ended up having your wedding and what you thought of the Marriott Marco Beach. I was looking at the Marriott Marco Island and Marco Beach Ocean Resort along with the Ritz Carlton Naples and am hoping to have my wedding in Dec. 2013. Thanks!
