Hi, futurearlington, I don't know if it's too late (how far you are in the planning stages with the Miami office), but I am working with Theresa Calcos of barefootbride.com and HIGHLY recommend her. She used to work on site at PPC--she is the one who created all of the romance packages. She has an agreement with the resort so that she may still offer the packages although she is an independent planner. She does NOT work on commission (she charges a flat rate) so she is always looking for ways to save me money. Example---I will have at least 11 children at my wedding. She informed me that kids are half price to add on to a package (we are doing Aqua as our base with add-ons as we go). She will make sure that the KIDS are reported as my extras over 24, rather than the adults. I don't think the PPC planners would do this b/c it would be less money earned for them. this savings alone already paid for her fee! I've had so many questions throughout the process (our wedding is July of 2013), and Theresa is super quick to respond. We schedule calls to plan each part of our wedding (color palette, ceremony, flowers, cocktail, rehearsal beach BBQ--one of our add-ons, and reception). She planned her son's wedding there last fall, so she really knows the ins and outs of the resort. I'm happy to share money-saving tips as I get them. Good luck with your planning!
