If you are considering a Destination Wedding but fear the unknown- rest assured that with Blue Diamond (not Blue Bay Esmeralda) in Riviera Maya, Mexico you will not go wrong. There was a lot of research on our part but I look back on my wedding as a beautiful and memorable experience and wish the same for another bride. My husband and I, along with the majority of our guests, stayed at Blue Diamond. We negotiated with the hotel to obtain group rates at the sister hotel Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda (also where our wedding coordinator was from) and they agreed to it since some of our guests have kids and Blue Diamond is an Adults only resort. Perhaps it’s a bit of a cultural difference but the wedding planning part took a bit to get started (slow for a response, took time to finalize our contract, coordinate with vendors)- but a couple of months before the wedding things started to pick up in pace. I did not use all on site vendors and have no regrets, the vendors I used were amazing and I would recommend them to anyone!
