  6. thanks so much!! which barcelo complex did you stay in? my TA recomended the Beach, but i'm worried that i'll want to use some of the Tropical/Colonial ammenities, so i'm having her look into those...
  7. hi all! i'm near toronto in ontario and am also looking at getting married in 2014 but in october. my aunt is worried that it is peak season for hurricains there, but the reviews i've read seem to say it's okay end of october to november, thoughts anyone?? after reading everyone's reviews on here and getting some suggestions from my TA, i think i have my heart set on the Barcelo Maya Colonial or Tropical. it's family friendly and there's lots to do on the resort and even includes a great kids pool. currently i'm looking at invitations and save the dates as well as vendors in the area. i'm glad someone started this thread and congratulations to all 2014 brides!!
  8. Hi Ladies!! I'm looking at planning a wedding for October 2014 in the Mayan Riviera. I put the date and location out there for my family and my aunt seems to think October is peak season for hurricane! I've read up on it, and seems to me that the chances of the weather being really bad is pretty slim at the end of October. Oppinions please? We don't want to push the date back further as November and December are already busy months for us. TIA!
